I don’t know why you got it but when you will be landing here if they will give you study permit for the same as visa then you have to apply for study permit extension after few months

Study visa is what you get when you’re in India and study permit you will get at the airport in canada,you don’t need to apply for it specially .. I would recommend you to watch video again carefully, then you will understand

Bro I reached Canada On 24th December this year on student visa.My port of entry was Toronto pearson.The airport was way too crowded and there were only 3 immigration officers.They collected our passports and told us to write our Canadian address In top of the ppr Letter.And last they told that we will receive our study permits within 2 weeks to the address we gave.Im hearing this proceedure for the first time.Does Ircc really do this??

I might be facing a similar problem, I don't know yet if I'll be accepted or not, but since I'm applying late for the fall semester, I'm expecting to get their response late. Now I got accepted into college and my classes start September 2021, but what if I get my study permit after that? What if I get it in November? Border officer will give you study permit based on your visa expiry date on passport however you can apply for study permit extension once you’re here so no need to worry…

Is the study permit issued with dates based upon study visa start and end dates or based upon LOA after landing in Canada?As due to some personal family reason I had deferments and my TRV(Study visa) stamped on passport is valid till April 2025 and I will be joining college in Jan 2025 only.will it be a problem at the port of entry?course is for 1 year

As far as I know your expiry date on your study permit will be till the date of expiry of your visa and then they would suggest you to apply for study permit extension based on your new intake..

In my gckey on March 9 my visa was approved and they sent me original passport request letter without my medical updated into pass, and a few weeks later it returned to application in progress then this april 1 it updated to medical passed, my concern is that I already sent my passport on march10 to the nearest vfs office, and the last update to me of vfs was my passport is already in process, until now I didn't received my passport with visa stamp, what can you recommend me to do?

My case is that I have received visa for Jan 2023 intake as on 12 December 2022 but due to some personal reasons I need to defer my intake to May 2023. I don’t think so but you just need to explain them that your admission got deferred and the study permit they will give you at airport will have the expiry date same as your visa so you have to extend your study permit once you’re here

It's not possible bro... You've to go to Immigration department after landing if you haven't got study permit then I would recommend to contact IRCC or Immigration department as soon as possible

I have student VISA till 31st Dec on my passport. I started my course in Jan 2021 and will finish in 21st Aug. If I travel after 21st Aug to Canada, would there be any problem ? Do I need to get a new permit since my course would have been finished, but the TRV is still valid i.e 31st Dec

As far as I know they will give you study permit only up to your stamped date on visa but still you can ask them, also if they say no you might can extend your study permit after starting your course which might give you extension for July around.
