Students Developing Autonomous Weeding Robot for Sustainable Farming 

Over the Spring 2024 semester, the RoboLab at Olin College has been working on their entry for the 2024 Farm Robotics Challenge, the "Phoenix Farm Bot." Their goal is to make a precise, mechanically-actuated weeding robot for no-till agriculture. The robot (which you can see in the video as Toby ‘27 talks about their work) navigates crop rows autonomously, identifies weeds, and uses a delta kinematic arm and claw to pull them.
