There is NO justification for having billionaires. NOBODY needs a billion dollars in order to live comfortably & indeed lavishly from the day they're born til the day they die. Nobody. If "free" tuition really helped the future in terms of a better educated employee base, every company on the planet would be offering to pay scholarships. It would be in their own best interest. But they don't.

They are in love with ideas, not reality. My daughter struggles should I buy food or pay rent. Taxes already takes a huge amount of her paycheck. In french there's a semantic difference between education and instruction. Education is what parents are providing their kids with cognitively. Where instruction is what schools provide the kids with cognitively. The first one is 'singular' and the second one is 'common'. Meaning it aims to do both and that education and instruction are one and the same thang. Which few are struggling against such semantic mix-up in effect. In any society. Instruction should be considered important enough but should it be mendatory done or practiced under State Controle or institutions ? That at least is debatable. While in regard of education yes it is. When parents are not providing their child with all that is required for their proper education and upbringing they're taken from them. Because that is an absolute necessity. That is placed above our'rights' in our western societies. And so where the State provides where there's no other alternative. The State of Providence. This is where the notion of State obeys. As a State provides as well as demand to and from it's citizens. Not foreigners.

Everyone has an opinion but how many have thought it through before letting it fly? Too many Americans la-dee-da through the day without knowing the reason why we are called a free country. A free America doesn't mean that stuff is free. American citizens who work for a living pay for the perks by paying taxes so those who aren't employed shouldn't be asked for their opinion.

When the community college was first established, it was free for the community. It was to help the community stay at an education level to be at the top of their game and then it became for profit.

Many people do quit well without college degrees, especially in the trades. Plumbers make $200 a hour. Electricians even more. A Enviromental Science Degree gets you $18.00 a hour.

Is the problem that these people never worked a day in their lives? I went to work as soon as I could doing odd jobs and eve lying about my age. I worked odd hours, weekends, late nights (even though I was a kid). I walked to work or rode my bike. I bought my own (used) car from the savings I had amassed from working and buying bonds. I paid for my post secondary schooling and bought all the books. I worked after going to school to be able to afford it and ate sandwiches for lunch. Do you think I want to pay for some kid to take education they won't use or for them to get indoctrinated into some useless culture. NOBODY paid me a cent. These people in the videos have never put in a hard days work to understand you wouldn't want to give money to someone that has done nothing other than stroll up the middle and hold their hand out. BTW I started delivering flyers for 11 cents each. I'd sit in the back of a truck and the business owner would drop his son and myself off in a subdivision and pick us up later. When the interest rates shot up in the 80s I made good money on bonds.
