Ten days bf my son passed from a heart attack, I had a dream of being in a train station waiting on a platform, when I saw him come in and cross the tracks, and come up to me... He said I have to go mom, he went back across the tracks, and up a platform, put his hand on the door and was gone in a flash of brilliant light. He went back to Heaven and I will see him again when it's my time to go home 💝

My mom died in OH, I was in TX. The night of the day she passed, she came to me in a dream. She was holding my hand and we were both flying through the universe, with stars whizzing by us. My mom was grinning from ear to ear and told me she wanted to show me where she went and that she was okay. She said, isn't this fantastic? She was so extremely happy!

I had a shared death experience with my sister. She was in the final stages of cancer and I was alone sitting with her for many hours while she was in the hospital. Our finger tips just barely touching. First we flew through the Grand Canyon, a place we both wanted to go but had never been. By the time our siblings arrived (10 people) she and I had traveled(in our minds) to a park and we're swinging on the swings. Then a man showed up and put out his hand to her and asked her to come with him. I told them I wanted to go with them but he said no she has to go by herself. As they went off together the room became icy cold. I knew she was gone. I had been there many hours but I knew I could leave because she wasn't coming back. I left the hospital and on the way home I got the call that she had passed. I was consumed by joy. I had to get out of the car and dance. My other sibling was so angry at me but there was no way I could explain what had happened. It was blissful.

Wow! That's so beautiful!. It's a true blessing to be with your loved one as they transition! You will always be connected to your sister, and she to you. I had similar backlash from siblings after my mam passed, they were so angry that i was alone with her and not them! but i truly believe that it was meant to be that way. It didn't mean my mam loved them any less! She adored us all, but they couldn't see it that way so they blamed me. I wouldn't change it for the world though! I was there to see my mam take her last smile and gently leave this Earth to go home! 💗

It sounds like both of you are empaths and that may be why you got to experience what your siblings didn't. Sibling rivalry is a real thing, I know. It's actually very painful for those of us who are scapegoated but there's nothing we can do about it. How awesome that you both got to have such wonderful experiences. I'm happy for you.

I am an NDE from 37 years ago. There was no religion on the other side; did not see anyone but white light brighter than anything on the planet. There was no fear, no pain, time did not exist; everything was light, all at once, as a bright positive energy.
@athena3865
@athena3865 Год назад
I just listened to your story....My NDE....Was the same accident that hit your friend; I was hit the same way, on the driver side; I had no seat belt. Truck was coming at me 55 mph; I had just pulled out from a stop sign where I was hidden around a curve. The cops said I should not have survived. After impact, I left my body and above the car, though my body was held down by something; I could feel it. Then I felt the words, "You will be spared." In that moment, I was enveloped by brilliant light, whiter than anything on the planet. I looked for someone, anyone, as I knew I had to have been killed. There was no one; only light and love. When the car stopped spinning, I told myself not to be afraid, because I was told I would be spared. I carefully opened my eyes, just knowing my legs had to be gone, at least. I was fully intact, no cuts or broken bones. My hands were still at the bottom of the steering wheel. I opened the door and stood up amidst the shattered glass and metal. A guy who was driving an 18 wheeler stopped and came running. The driver who hit me asked why did I come away from the stop sign (I did not see him). The guys were shocked I was standing...I could not speak, as I only wanted to say that this is not all there is....In fact, coming back, everything here seemed strange...Like it was pretend. There is another side. I was 28. Today I am almost 65 and remember it like yesterday.

When I was in the Fifth grade, I got sick in school with scarlet fever. There wasn't much that could be done, medicine wise, back then except to control my fever. I lay in my bedroom with all the aches and pains, which go with high fever. I heard someone talking, and there were two men standing at the foot of my bed. Between me and them as what looked like rain water running down a window pane; wavey and rippley. One turned to the other and said, "Shall we take him?" The other looked at him and said, "No, not yet." Up until that time, I had been somewhat of an observer, but when I heard that I became terrified an streamed for my mother. She rushed in and asked what was wrong. I said, "Please don't let them take me!" She asked me "Who?", and I said, "Them" and pointed to where they had been standing. There was no one there. My mother thought I had been hallucinating, because of the fever. I accepted her explanation and began to recover. Years later, I visited my Grandmother, and there was a portrait of a man hanging just inside the ba k door. It astounded me, and I asked her who he was. She answered that it was just an old photograph that she had just wanted to hang up, again. I asked her several times over the next few weeks, and finally she told me, "That's your Grandpa, when he was a young man. He was 18, when that picture was taken." He was one of the men who were standing at the foot of my bed. I had recognized him, instantly. My blood had run cold the day that I first saw that photo. I didn't tell anyone, because they would have come up with some explanation to dispute my memory. However, I knew he had been in my bedroom, when I had been so sick. Years later, I was in the delivery room, when my first son was born. He cried, as he lay in the warming pan, and I asked the doctor if I could go to him. He gave me the ok. I stood over my son and touched his cheek with the back of my hand. He stopped crying, and the doctor remarked, "it looks like that was what he needed." When I touched my son, I was back in my sick room, and he was the other man, who had been standing at the foot of my bed. Later, I told my wife what he would look like as a man; the square jaw, light brown hair and the brown eyes, which he had, when he grew up. I was both sad and happy to find out, who the other man was. I knew that he, with my Grandfather, would be the ones to come to escort me at the time of my death. It was sad, because I knew that he would die before me. I was happy, because that vision told me that he had lived a good life and was in Heaven. I had very close to my Grandfather, as a child. He had fed me, when my father had no food. He had made sure I had shoes and a coat to protect me from the cold. When he died, I wanted to die, too. I couldn't imagine existing without my Granpa. The last thing he said to me was, "Hold'em in the road, Big Boy", but I couldn't figure out how I could live, let alone hold'em in the road. He was an old man, when I was born, and the cancer that took him had wasted his body. I never knew the young man, which he had been, when he stood at the foot of my bed so many years before. Now, I'm an old man. I haven't seen my son in almost 20 years. My wife and I divorced, and the children went with her. The divorce was bitter. I was not the father that I wanted to be, but I am assured that we will be reconciled some day. He and Gradpa will take me home, and that is enough for me.

We got talking about other things and then she told me, "This is your stop. You need to get off now. Thank you for coming part the way with me but you need to go back now. I can't but you can." Not long after my brother died (he 17 me 15) I dreamt we were in a house, younger though: around 5 -7 years younger. Playing together like we used to when we were kids....laughing and having fun. Then we were in a small room sitting at a table facing a wall, just messing around. He than starting fading in and out and said he had to go. We both started crying. He disappeared, but then came back shortly afterwards....but escorted by several almost invisible beings ( human shaped ) We immediately started playing, laughing and having fun again as if nothing had happened. Again he started fading in and out, saying he had to go but this time he couldn't come back. He then was escorted away by the beings as we were crying. This happened over 40 years ago.

I "woke up" in her body, seeing through her eyes. There were a lot of people in the room but they were not physical. I remember getting up of the bed, floating and disoriented until someone touched my hand. That someone was an "older me," an "eternal me" who had promised grandma to see her off. Both my roommate from school and my ex-husband, who had never met each other before me, had had identical experiences: They were born back in 1952, just months apart but thousands of miles from each other) of moms who were very young, and who had 2d pregnancies too soon. They and their younger sisters were just 15 months apart. Both moms went into very serious postpartum depressions after their siblings' births. My roommate's mom hallucinated, until she was hospitalized. My ex's mom was sent to stay with friends across the country. While they were recovering, my roommate and her new-born baby sister were cared for by their great aunt. My ex and his infant sister by their grandmother. When each lady passed away, both my friend and ex answered their phones, and heard the ladies calling their names. When they called to the ladies by name, parents came on the phone notifying them of the deaths of the women so important to them. Bizarre coincidence.

Regarding Judas Iscariot: Roughly three decades ago I participated in a rather intense metaphysical exercise in which my personal experience was an apparent "connection" with Judas. I won't detail it here, but one thing that stood out to me was this: For those of us with a Christian background, if we can forgive Judas, we can forgive anybody of anything, and we can even forgive ourselves. So my perception now is that Judas (or the story of Judas, if you don't take the New Testament account literally) offers us a gift: The opportunity to actively forgive someone of something that is traditionally viewed as unforgivable.

I am commenting again. I love your channel. It helps me keep remembering who I am when I get lost in the Maya. I was a follower of Paramahansa Yogananda. I can say it is true mastering their meditation techniques really does open consciousness up. I have had many experiences because of it. After 3 months of devoted meditation I was able to do things I could never imagine. My little brother had cancer and my Mom and I were on our way down to Phoenix to help him move in to hospice. But we had just left the outskirts of Prescott when the left side of my head opened up in a way, like a portal of some kind in my mind. It’s like I am actually there. Funny thing is I was driving but I could still pay attention to the driving while I was having this vision. I saw this incredibly beautiful man beaming of golden light and he was smiling at me. I was in awe of him, He was so incredibly beautiful and the love and joy was just everywhere around him and coming from him. I just kept saying “My God, your so beautiful!” He then reached out his hands to me like he was wanting me to give him something and so I looked down and saw I was holding my little brother. He was sleeping and also gave off this incredible loving golden light. I then joyfully handed my brother over to the golden man and he held him so tightly in his arms with great love and tenderness. I just watched the whole thing blown away by the incredible beautiful experience I was having. Then suddenly I realized what it meant. I felt panic and shook my head trying to get rid of the vision I was experiencing. I asked my mom what time it was and she said it was 4:01. When we got to Phoenix we found my brother had suddenly passed away at 4:01. I think I saw this because I had been praying for my brother to not suffer if it was his time to go. The final stages of cancer can be such a horrible, prolonged suffering and painful way to die. I cannot stress enough how important meditating can be if you are wanting to really become the true being you actually are.

@@russellmcgurn4217 Some things must be experienced before you can believe in them. I can attest the things the REAL Yogi's say they can do, they can do. Their not fakes by any means. It boggles the mind really when you start to realize how fantastical existence really is and how reality is not what you think it is. All I can say is try it. You have nothing to lose. I did teach the beginning meditations to some of the employees who worked under me as they were all over the place. The company I worked for hired a lot of people in rehab to help them get back on their feet. So these people were recovering crystal meth users. Every one of them used the meditation I taught them. With in weeks they changed so much they had real focus and calmness about them and their work and they said after a few months their lives had completely changed. Some went on to do really big things with their lives. It certainly cannot hurt you to learn the meditations, it will definitely make a big difference in your life and if your really serious about transformation and enlightenment, it will get you there. Paramahansa Yogananda is a wonderful teacher and I will forever be grateful to him for bringing this enlightenment to the world. It saved me from the darkness of the Maya in this place called life on earth.

But just to make sure they needed to do further tests before turning off the machine. After alot of distress for family and all the emotional distress felt whilst waiting for the decision, I knew there was no way back for him. He was my soulmate and best friend. My most concern I kept thinking is he going to be okay and not be on his own. I was allowed 10mins after the machine was turned off to say my goodbyes I came out of the room as I wasn't allowed longer I felt as if I had been grabbed from my solar plexus and whoosh I felt lifted I new he had gone it was so physical for me I thought it was my trauma response but after listening here I believe it was very real. I definitely experienced one shared Near Death trips with a lady I knew well. The lady who took me on her NDE trip lived in a state separate from where I lived. I had been to her home to visit her a few months eairler. She had since fallen into a coma and was dying unbeknownst to me. I didn't know she was in a coma and ill from a sudden stroke. She suddenly appeared in my home where I live and started telling me she had a stroke. She made me feel it on my left side while I was driving my car. I could hear her voice clearly and it went from there. She sounded very happy, like her old self again. She had not been her normal self for awhile and was losing her cognitive abilities. She was very stressed and sad because of her adult children treating her badly. The last time I had seen her a few months eairler made me feel very bad for her. She was going through personal issues and her physical health had significantly declined. Probably because of all the stress from her children. She was a shell of who she used to be as I knew her. I didn't see her regularly but I knew she was not going to last much longer after seeing her the last time. I visited with her then and spoke with her on the phone. She told me she wanted to die. She was depressed. She came and took me on her NDE while she was actually dying. She was so very happy to share with me and showed me so much of what she was experiencing. Remember, I didn't know she was sick but she was in a deep coma at a nursing home at that time. She died a few hours later and that was when I was told about her death. The experience with her occurred on a Sunday afternoon and she died sometime before daylight Monday morning. I can't go into all the details here but it was a spectacular experience, I admit a little scary. Im also a natural born Meduim and she knew this about me. I gave her a Reading the last time I saw her in person. One of her relatives came through very clearly and I'd like to think that helped her. I love you Lela. Goodbye Lela. You were a very good lady and you are not forgotten. May your adult children regret what they did to you. 🥺

Wow! In 2001, I helped my mother travel to the brink of a mountain until she flew away and I could go no further. I did not share this as I thought family would not understand. Then my daughter had me do a "reading" with a medium and you could knock me down with a feather when she said: "Your mother asks me to tell you thanks for what you did, that she was afraid, and what you did really helped her." Well hearing that was even more food for thought! How did the medium know that? How was my mother able to communicate it? This is indeed a strange existence. I also had a near-death experience and wrote a book about it. But the amazing thing about that is I can transport to that world while praying and receive amazing instruction. But I was able to do that from an early age - around 15.

A week before my dad passed, we were out in the back pasture, putting up new fencing for my horses. That night, I dreamed that I walked into a stark, cement- floored room. There was a table with my dad laying down on it. A bright light shone down on him. He had a sheet on him, from his chest to his ankles. And a block under his head. It was the block that perplexed me. I knew nothing of how morgues work and I thought he was alive. A week later, he passed suddenly from a heart attack. My 2 older brothers went to see him. We were just casually discussing it later when I brought up what I saw in the dream. My bro's said it was exactly how he was positioned & the room was lighted! At the time none of us knew about precognition- but now it is a constant occurrence in my life.

When I was sitting with her I said to her Dad had gone and if she didn’t want to leave when he was here now would be a good time, she took three breaths and left, I had the strongest feelings she was still in the room right at the ceiling and I got a taste of such peace and love I know she was sharing that love and peace with me. A few min and my dad came back early and I told him she had passed. He panicked and went out and got three nurses , mom knew the reaction he would have. I will never forget that incredible peace and love. I never told my dad I know he would never understand.

My Dad passed away fifteen years ago, and i was with him in the last moments of his life. Soon after he passed, i could feel his presence around me for two years. At the time, i was over at my mom's house for a few months. I slept in his room and could sense he was there at night. It was kind of unsettling, but also a blessing. My dad had been worried about me, wondering if i would find a partner to marry. So, i think he was watching over me. You are truly blessed to have had this experience. I wish this would happen to me. I am so glad I found this podcast. I have really enjoyed the NDE experiences, but am thrilled to hear you're talking about SDEs! I had one with my grandmother when she died. There were so many fascinating things taking place as she was in her final days, but it culminated when we knew she'd be passing in the next 24 hours. Our mom was taking care of her and I lived in another state and had this really strong sense that I should stay there and not go until after she died. That morning, I woke up with a voice telling me it was time, grandma was "leaving," and the second I put my head back on the pillow I was with her. Saw all the people gathered around her, walking her toward a door with light coming through it, and she kept telling me to tell mom how wonderful she felt and that she wasn't afraid anymore. As she stepped over the threshold with these friends and loved ones into the light, she looked back one more time and said not to forget to tell mom she wasn't afraid and she felt wonderful. She stepped over the threshold and the phone rang -- my mom, telling me Grandma just died. This was in 1986 and I had never heard of anything like it. When we asked the minister at her funeral if he'd ever heard of an experience like that, he said all the time. Over the years I've heard lots of stories like it, which I love listening to. It was the coolest thing ever, and so comforting to our mom. ❤ Editing to add regarding negative experiences -- P.M.H. Atwater does describe some of these in her research. And I think(?) Eben Alexander might as well.

I got to experience a death long distance. I was in a weekly healing group. One night the leader of the group told us she had a request from a friend who’s loved one was unconscious and in the process of dying. The loved said the person who was dying kept hanging on longer than they needed to. They had asked the leader of the group if we would help the person pass. We all went into a meditative state and we were psychically urging the person to let go, that it was OK to move on, to pass. It was so joyous, like a wonderful party. That surprised and delighted me. We learned later that the person passed soon after our group meditation.

This is in line with the double slit experiment. Since my NDE as a child and now becoming a vintage relic, I have been spending more time in two places. I think of it more as a Hybrid remote viewing. Feels like minutes but in the physical it can last hours. I don't direct it and have ended up in apartment houses , blue light, red illuminated caves, the side of a boot, beings under water on another world, some silverish metallic colored beings, etc. Sounds somewhat crazy but I can say, that I really enjoy the surprises, it has also opened my spiritual connection on a more heightened level. I would love to just remain in several of the places that I have been to. But having a physical body I can only have visits.

I was standing and as he prayed my body moved forward and down toward the priest the next thing i know i am also in a beautiful place. I was with someone but unable to see them and knew it was not the priest. The place was pitch black but not a scary place actually the safest place I could imagine. I saw a tiny light far off and it came closer and closer until I was able to see the figure. It was a tiny newborn or preborn infant and I recognized it was me. I asked the person with me "where am i?" The voice said " you are in the heart of the Father, you are always in the heart of the Father". I did not want to leave this place and when I fully came back I was awe struck at what just happened. I now have a constant yearning to be with God the Father. This was beyond words to express.

I was with an old friend who was dying of lung cancer and I faintly saw a youngish man move towards him in a deep embrace and then he peeled him out of his body very gently and lovingly, as you would a baby, but like taking something soft out of a mould. Then a pinprick of light became a thin cross (we were both Christians) and then spread out to become a star of a thousand rays. I was blissed out but something very weird happened, which confused me. The body was still breathing! I actually pinched myself to see if it was not I who had died! The body took exactly twelve breaths and then stopped, which was a relief because nothing could have convinced me that it was still living. Such a beautiful experience!

Thank you for the great show. I just wanted to add that this shared experience is possible after the person has passed. They can still share the experience of what they went through with others. Also, the invitation can come from either direction. My experience happened a couple of days after a dear friend took his own life. I took a long hike in New Zealand, during which I 'talked' with my friend, and in the course of doing so I invited him to come hang out with me for a while if he was feeling confused or at loose ends after his passing. That night, I woke up to feel myself being rotated 90 degrees in the bed, then I saw above me a bamboo ceiling and a hanging lamp. It was long ago enough that I don't recall exactly what was blue in my field of vision, but something was mediterranean blue, maybe the lampshade. And I experienced a constriction around my chest, and the sense I couldn't breathe. My friend passed in Thailand, and everything I experienced aligns with the circumstances of his death, I eventually found out. I think he accepted my invitation, and wanted to show me what he had experienced. I still miss him, and I hope he has found peace and new adventures.

It's very difficult here on earth. There is very little in NDE and afterlife discussions about family dysfunction and what happens if people are at loggerheads. It's far more common than anyone recognises and it can't be all sunshine and dancing in fields of daisies. I've had a shared NDE of sorts since my father was estranged from me at the time. Yet paradoxically I was the one who was alert to his dying experience and shared it, even though he wasn't talking to me at the time and I didn't realise now deteriorated he was. It's a bit of a King Lear situation. He got to see the truth, the I don't hate him but I kept away for my own self preservation. He had 2 guides one on either side of him, and he had died and he was just to the right of my range of sight if that makes sense. He was taken to see me, and I was reading a book he would have loved and that's what I was thinking about. The fact that he saw that it helped me a lot. Meanwhile the family is full of hatreds and sabotage and viciousness, it's very sad indeed. He set a lot of that in motion. The only thing I was worried about is that he would hang around and haunt me, but he hasn't. Thankfully.

The belief systems one holds dictates their scope of awareness and understanding. Every belief system comes equipped with efficacious defense systems to maintain its integrity. There is something that can circumvent these defenses and that is personal experience. Personal experience can either strengthen a belief system, disrupt it to the point of making it necessary to revise and, in some drastic cases, give cause to eradicate and replace it. There are many folks that have belief systems that prevent them from exploring NDEs . It does seem though that more and more people have been having personal experiences that are breaking down those rigid belief systems thereby allowing the person to venture out into the fringes. I really enjoyed this interview!!

I value personal direct experience above all. But it seems necessary for us to widen our knowledge of concepts by delving into 'ways in which to understand'. Therefore a wide range of spiritual / psychological / philosophical / even religious studies seems necessary in order to have a vocabulary with which to discuss these experiences. I study and practice constantly in order to put my experiences into some sort of context for my own understanding and the possibility of sharing them.

Maybe a shared death experience. I was driving alone down the interstate and a the soul of a 40 year old, kind of hard bitten, woman 'asked' if she could stay for a while. She needed a safe haven, a place of unquestioning welcome. She stayed for about 20 minutes off to the side in my soul's space. Then quietly left when she was ready. I have wondered about this unexplained yet vivid experience. I know that it was a helping hand in a moment of need. Scott's understanding of one's 'soul space' and it being shared is a bit incomplete.

There is also a golden light that is considered 'higher' than the 'white light' that has appeared to entities ('Soul' sounds to religious and this plane IS a lot more than that!) of a higher consciousness.

At 48:00 on...the 3rd perspective; hit me like a tonne of bricks. My Father, who just passed, studied under Theodore Roethke when the latter taught at the University of Washington 'way back in the early fifties. I have felt...no, better put, have been certain of the connection between myself and Roethke...and not just through my dad, as confirmed for me through the medium of a, well, medium...That he was "here for you as much as your father." So when you spoke of the get outta jail free card, a line (most treasured to me among many) from one of Roethke's poem sprang to mind... As a blind man, lifting a curtain, knows it is morning, I know this change: On one side of silence there is no smile; But when I breathe with the birds, The spirit of wrath becomes the spirit of blessing, And the dead begin from their dark to sing in my sleep. There are no accidents.

Thank you so much for having this guest! Mr. Taylor has a kind of Mr. Roger's tone to him and I find him very comforting to listen to. His information is really clear and concise. I had my own NDE and shared it with one of your fellow podcasters, The JeffMara Podcast. What Mr. Taylor has to say helps me make sense of what I experienced and also helps me bring all the other NDE's I have listened to to something that is understandable. I am sure many people will find comfort and security in his words!

I never have heard of shared death experience but I had that with my mom! So glad to hear it explained. It was through dreaming and sleep I saw here reluctant soul let go and I was also able to go back visit her moment of death during meditation and “spoke” again. She healed my guilt during that meditation.

I love where people are coming from trying to spread good news from spiritual experiences and it's super interesting and brilliant that we all are now talking about them and discussing them , But I've noticed one thing people think how they perceive they're experiences and how it relates to them and how it affects them in their lives is absolutely personal for that individual and may not be a universal truth applying to all . I think these experiences are so significant for us that we tend to miss this point because we are all living very different individual unique lives the experiences are only for that individual , I think we all get the experiences physical or spiritual and can only be applied to that person's life . I don't believe one person's truth and understanding is applicable to us all . Fundamentals of NDE's are similar but they are all very diffirent as they are personal and relevant to the individual. We only get What's relevant to ourselves . There's definitely wisdom and learning but the specifics of the experiences are personal . And I think ppl mean we'll be ause they have others best interests at heart, so therefore try to project the learning and wisdom they gleamed onto others , I think is well meaning but very wrong . As we all experience what is relevant and get what we need and we can only really understand that which we personally experience. So it's great to raise the awareness to talk about it but to project the teaching onto others is only relevant to that individual and n one else unless it is made known too in the experience.

I, too, had a shared death experience in 2004 when my brother passed away in a different country than the one I was living in. At the time, I interpreted as a way of my brother saying to me that he was in a peaceful place. It's interesting how I can now see the experience so differently. Thank you, Dr. Scott Taylor. I, too, have been trying over and over again to reach that peaceful and joyous experience ❤

You have to temporarily be clinically dead to call it an NDE. Otherwise, you had an OBE, which is an out of body experience. Anybody can have those if they learn how to do it. You just need to put your body asleep and keep your conscience awake. It takes practice. You can travel to different dimensions with an OBE just like an NDE. You just think it and you’re there.

One of the truths about "Defending Your Life" is the objective of ridding your life of fear. I just had to get that in before my next statement which is, these interviews aren't really new information but, rather, reminders...for me, anyway. It's like, I know it's all true from experience. These people are putting it into words and reminding me. It's odd but comforting at the same time.

@ 1:00:40 - When talking about less-than-positive NDEs Dr. Scott Taylor references The Hero's Journey which can also apply to those of us having major challenges and difficulties during our lives as well. We end up in a position where we have to "draw upon our inner resources to overcome the obstacles that have been put in front of us." We'll be better off if we can "maintain a sense of detachment from what's going on." And it will help us to "adopt a new worldview." -Dr. Scott Taylor 1. Draw upon inner resources. 2. Detach. 3. Adopt a new worldview. That's helpful and constructive advice. Thank you Dr. Taylor. 🙏 Namaste.

@websurfer detachment is also hard for me. I'm an empath and i can get swallowed up by other people's energy. Sometimes, i must break away from humans for awhile and be solitary for a few days to reclaim my energy. I'm an extrovert, but if i start reaching out too much to help others, i lose too much of myself in the process. This sucks the life out of me and can pull me down too far. I try to avoid becoming too involved in the world now. Not easy to do when it's all around you, but for me, it's self survival.

Thank you, Alex. I loved this guy! I’ve had a few experiences-not near death-but something similar to what was discussed tonight. When my mother-in-law passed away, whom I was very close to, a few days after the funeral, she came to me in my dream and took me to the other side to show me how wonderful it was. We talked for what seemed like hours. I can’t remember all that she said, but what I do remember is the immense feeling of love which surrounded us as we visited. It’s something I’ll never forget. Then my grandmother came to me in another dream a few months after my mother passed and took me to see my mother. It was quite different, in that we didn’t really get to talk. She was in a reception area almost exactly as described in your interview greeting people. Both amazing experiences. I wish I could do this at will, but it seems to be random for me.

Natalie Sudman: "In this non- physical state of being, there's a profound sense of belonging. EVERYTHING ABOUT EVERYONE THAT EXISTS IS NOT ONLY ACCEPTED, BUT RESPECTED, AND CELEBRATED. WE HAVE THIS IDEA THAT A LIFE REVIEW IS LIKE 'JUDGEMENT'...AND WE'RE JUDGING OURSELVES LIKE, 'OH I FELL SHORT HERE' AND 'OH I WAS EVIL HERE'...NONE OF THAT MATTERS, IT DOESN'T MATTER. YOU'RE HAVING AN EXPERIENCE, AND THAT EXPERIENCE IS VALUABLE. I WASN'T EVER JUDGING MYSELF AS GOOD OR EVIL, AND SAYING 'OH THIS WAS A TOTAL DISASTER'...NO REGRETS INVOLVED. We're so used to thinking in terms of hierarchies. The teacher is better than the arms dealer, etc. THESE HIERARCHIES OF VALUE ARE NOT REAL. In essence, WHAT WE'RE DOING IS PLAYING ROLES. In the same way AN ACTOR MIGHT SAY 'LET'S PLAY THAT VILLAIN', or 'let me play that person who's in a wheelchair, let me see what that feels like'. BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT REALLY HURTING YOURSELF, YOU'RE NOT THAT 'IT', YOU'RE BIGGER THAN THAT. I remembered choosing my injuries and being satisfied with that, like 'yeah, this'll be great.' ALL OF US CHOOSE, OR AGREE TO, EVERYTHING WE EXPERIENCE. From a 'whole self' perspective we can understand difficulties in a very different way. We're all doing our own thing, and we're all doing something valuable, whether we realize it or not. THERE ISN'T ANYONE DOING ANYTHING MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANOTHER. The ultimate experience of life is to remember who we really are." A. Williamson: "The one most important thing I learned from my NDE was that unconditional love for yourself is the most important love you can experience and give. It is the most important thing you can learn in this life, and it flows out to others when you learn to do that. We are loved, understood always, forever. WE ARE NOT VICTIMS, WE ARE WILLING PARTICIPANTS. On earth we take turns being a good person and a bad person. NOTHING BAD ON EARTH IS CONSIDERED BAD IN HEAVEN. It's all called a learning experience. I struggle with that while I'm on earth. THERE IS NO HELL. That is a man-made construct. There is no evil cabal, IT'S ONLY PEOPLE PLAYING THE PARTS THEY AGREED TO PLAY. Being a victim is also important and there are contracts for all those situations. We have to have contrast, that's why we leave heaven."
