I don't mind some of it as long as it's produced good, can't beat the old analog sounds though

I dont mind the production side of it but listening to dj's mixing cd's, wav etc just doesn't sound as warm as mixing in vinyl ..I used the cdj's a few times ..prefer mixing on vinyl any day ...dj No Comment was telling me he knew ya ..I know Aaron since we were teenagers...He's made a few tunes wit Sterling Moss...I used to mix many years ago..sold my technics MK5gs and the good old djm 600 analog mixer and metal cases for €1200...think the lad I sold them to got a bargain ..this was the last mix I ever did on them...hard techno..bit messy :) www.mixcloud.com/gkerins/hard-techno-mix-5-5-12/

Totally agree with you on the djing side of things, name personally I don't like the feel of the jog dials and defiantly with u on how the mixing sounds, I think it sounds too clean myself and vinyl has a roughness which adds character where u can hear the dj working the mixes plus I've played a some parties where ppl are enjoying watching me dj because they can see what am doing more than u can with cdj's and controllers Yer I know who no comment is at 51 mins on this mix am playing the track he did with sterling on hive which I think is really good played it a fair amount :) I'll check your mix out mate cheers and I don't mind a bit of roughness as long as it's real ;)

Just used the webcam on the laptop and a audio interface to go from the record outputs of the mixer to the usb on the laptop for the sound

Been trying this out and def sounds better with hard techno, newer slower stuff with drops and melodic breaks not so much . Kinda just free styling it trying to see what sounds best but some tips would be great.

The slower techno doesn’t really work with the chopping as it does the faster paced hard techno, everyone has there own style in a way find what u feel most comfortable with, I taught myself and used to study other DJ’s in clubs and stuff trying to get tips that way, best advice I can give u is know your records well and do different mixes with different records see which ones mix really well with each other and do a stage at a time so u got the beat matching sorted concentrate on eq’s now just the bass u need to adjust really keep the mids and highs pretty much in the middle , try not to mix with both the bass up on each record as it cancels each other out and the mix won’t sound right instead have the bass low for the record coming in and do a quick swap putting the bass up and the bass down from the record that your mixing out of, the little chops I do on the fader just give it a little flick every 4th, 8th 12th or 16th beat u can also do a couple of fast flicks to give it a bit extra but like I said keep practising keep studying DJ’s mixing and it will all click and come together with enough practise and time, hope that helps u a little bit quick hard to explain without showing u with a set of decks in front of me lol

I’ve had my technics for years but for a good second hand pair of technics 1210 mk2’s will probably cost around £800 and my mixer is the pioneer djm250 which is only around £200, speaker wise if you need some you can get a decent pair of monitors for around £200 which will do the job just for use in your home, after that it’s a case of buying the records and getting a good collection together which depending on what budget you have for buying records can take a while

Klark D pour lediscographe à votre droite le DJM 250 n'a pas de sortie d'enregistrement mais il a deux sorties master donc la sortie master XLR pour les enceintes et la sortie master RCA pour l'enregistrement, pas idéal et un peu pauvre sur les pioneers il aurait dû avoir un disque je pense
