AHAHA this was great! I laughed out loud. I'm sending this to my friend. And this was my first time hearing Finnish in conversation (not in music) and even though those guys were being goofy and hilarious, I still thought it was beautiful!
Tää on kyl parhaita Julmahuveja ikinä, legenda. Aivan paras!!!
That’s because Finnish is very unique and comes from a very old and small branch. The Fenno-Ugrian. Estonians and Hungarians are the only notable relatives in that tree
This is just something that i have to watch everytime i miss Finland. Looks so cold in there, haven't seen snow for about 4 years. Actually i don't miss it anymore, keep on rocking :)
Perkele as a word isn't that strong but it gets quite a boost when somebody yells in a near berzerker rage ;) With the right amount of attitude and a booming voice the word simply cannot be misunderstood even if one doesn't understand Finnish at all. It is also quite distinctive and cannot be mixed up with any other words.
Perkule IS the most powerful word in Finnish language! By that you call the Devil himself. Eg. when hitting your thumb really hard with hammer, Perkele will help you over the moments of most intensive pain😳😵! What would we do without Perkele?😬 Call Hitto? It's just same as Helvetti (Hell). No way.😉
Even this classic has only one "perkele" in it and it's actually quite muted: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xuywUEdkvTM.html This one has two: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mTmKZ26gmj8.html
Not bad. Living hundreds of years in cold, i mean only crazy idiots survived here at early ages. You gotta have some attitude or you would had frozen ;)
Prkl!!! I don't know why this reminds me when me and my wife were really wasted. We went to bed together, but, I don't know how, I woke up and realized she wasn't there! So, I put on my jeans and shirt, and went three districs down by walking, yelling her name, trying to find her! Do you know where she were all that time? Next to me, in the same bed... No comments...
I love my Finns. Have 2 dear friends whom I cherish very much. Jim Jarmusch made a movie called "Night On Earth" Probably the funniest movie I've ever seen.
finnish language fukin rules, it's so beautiful. It's kinda characterising the finnish coulture simply because they drink like fish, and this guy is pissed out of his head and all he can think of is goin to the bar agen wen he's in ice water!!
Montaa kontekstista irralleen otettuna huonolta vaikuttavaa pirrettä, jotka kokonaisuutena on kuitenki luonu korkeakulttuurin keskelle "routaa ja rospuuttoa". Näillä suomalaisuuteen vahvasti miellettävillä miinuksillaki me on saatu aikaan melko paljon. Mieti mitä me saavutettas ku keskityttäs hetki positiiviseen?
@Ludgerhoek Not a tunnel to Germany but an underwater tube from Russia to Finland. Vodka travelled through that tube underwater over the borderline. It might have been spirit or vodka... I dont remember exactly.
Well, a Finn friend showed me some years ago and I was as skeptic as you, and now that I'm dating a Finn and I showed this to her, she confirmed that this is completely true.
Not Aki Kaurismäki but still part of Finnish culture i guess so I'll take it. Namaste from India. When i watch Finnish cinema i don't know whether to laugh or to feel sad intensely sad.
They must have been neighbors, because Joke made a mistake with the house. Did he came there walking or by taxi. If by taxi, it would have dropped him to his omn yard and then Jokehad moved into the neighbors property. And that pizzalist, maybe Pasi wrote it altogether...
This is a story about a finish man. An a true story! Yes, this is a joke about finish man. We are not sorry, but we are like this in Finland ! :) P.S. Read the subtitles...
@fohos Drunken boast :) Devil (etc.) is the literal translation, but especially men like to use it - coz it sounds like an angry dog or something. You get to spit and bark. 'When you run out of words and your senses, For your strong emotions (pronounce: moods), available since 2000 and then some BC'
Because he is drunk like an idiot, and he wants to save his manhood. That he never even had. His neighbour though has a cool head, being polite and helpful even though the other one is an idiot. This explains the finnish mentality in two ways.
