I still can’t get over how good the results you’re able to get are while mixing in a room without a bunch of crazy bass traps and other forms of treatment. Goes to show how much you can do with a nice set of monitors, hopefully someday I’ll be able to upgrade from my Eris 3.5s since I don’t think they’re even technically studio monitors 😂
I think a part of it is just being used the a specific room for so long. I also will run a song through those monitors and try to get my mic as close as possible so that ends up being more accurate
Kudo for Kali. I love my LP-6 V2s, so good for the money and more. I went from some OG Presonus Eris E8s to them, and as good as the Presonus monitors were, the change was large. LOL Kali subwoofers are so freaking massive XD
I came really close to getting Presonus monitors! I’m sure they’re great but I’m glad I consulted with Nic Z first. I’ll be opening the sub up next week.
Hi Jason! I'm finally moving alone to an apartment! I normally use plugins to play (I'm a bedroom player) and I was thinking of getting a 1x12 cab with a power amp for those moments I don't want to use a headset, but I can't get very loud or I'm gonna get in trouble. But this video's making me doubt. Would you recommend getting a pair of these monitors over the cab?
For apartment living, I’d absolutely get those monitors. You’ll get great tones with using things like amp sim and plugins, or even amp pedals running direct through your interface, at low volumes
I have KALI’s!! They sound excellent with my set up!!! Mackie DLS 16 channel Ox Box Marshall 410 JVM And, I’m HOT ROCK N With the stands and Kali’s spent 2G’s Money well spent!!!!🎼🎸🤘 I have the same LTD it’s Red with Blk tiger stripes.
The longer proprietary cable should really be included, both in the box and in the price; I mean it's only $10, but by email order!? Besides, everybody is very likely to need it sooner or later (given the RCA connections!) At least as a backup solution, in case that the short proprietary cable gets eaten by the dog!
@@jasonstallworth ye they are great at low end and hi frequency openess are fantastic but im not sure about mid range, and many users say that they are hissing
Been meaning to pick some of these up for a little while now because my guitar doesn't sound great through my Ruark desktop speakers. I keep hesitating between these and some iLoud Micro's. That and 95% of the time I'm practicing guitar at night so I need to use headphones. Neighbours kids would not like badly played guitar when they're trying to sleep :D
