So the difference between the Game Edit and the normal song is mostly that the game edit is structured in such way to be stretched and cut depending on how you play. The better you play, the farther into the song you get and it gets more intense. Its more noticeable while playing, the cut you listened to isn't too different from the regular version
all these versions sucked ass complete shit who tf even uploaded this nonsense to youtube? We already had perfect one why do we also need such abominations???
Apparently Casey Edwards has been a fan of the series for Quite a while and you can hear the love he has for Vergil in the music, that whole song is a work of passion and pure Art
@@EpicSubmarines It's my head canon that Vergil remembered those words Arkham spoke to him after all these years. And now, after reclaiming his former glory, is now saying, "No bitch, I AM the storm."
"He may be cocky, inexperienced, reckless" made me chuckle. I love that you can get a good read on his character without ever seeing him play, that's so cool.
my favorite is Subhuman because playing DMC5 and styling on demon scum while "YOU CANNOT KILL ME, I AM OMEGA" screams in the background is literally the peak gaming experience
I love he managed to understand Nero so perfectly purely off of hearing Devil Trigger. edit: Hasnt even finished listening to Crimson Cloud and already captured V's character so well. The music in DMC5 is so amazing at capturing a character that you only have to listen long enough to understand them.
the problem is that nero has 2 themes in dmc5 "devil trigger" & "silver bullet" if DT represents nero at the start of the game SB represents nero at the end of the game when he unleashes his own DT XD i allways though that DT and SB are companion themes...
To make the songs more impactful. Devil Trigger is Dance while singing Crimson Cloud when you have a mid life crisis. Subhuman is when you ordered a Pizza and eat it all by yourself Bury The Light when the storm is approching turn up the volume to the maximum while placing the plastic chair out in the open as well as sitting on it. Why? Well, for MAXIMUM MOTIVATION. To make that Motivation getting even further is Tax evasion and cut your child's arm and refuse to pay for the child support. If you done this correctly, IRS can't even stop you.
You may notice that both of Casey Edwards' songs, Devil Trigger ( 9:30 ) and Bury the Light ( 33:12 ), both use the same or at least very similar melodies for the closing sections of the lyrics.
The most interesting and fascinating about these game edits music, is that in the game it changes while player is slaying demons upon the ranking is rising(from D to SSS(Smoking Sexy Style)). D-rank is the beginning, when the vocalist singing "I'll endure the exile"(in the example of Devil Trigger) C-A rank is the Verse(C and B ranks) and Pre-chorus sections(A section), and when the music is like building up to the chorus section at the A rank it really drives you to go for the S ranks to fucking jam to it, it especially shows at the A rank of the "Bury the Light" when drums are destroying your eardrums, like the game itself gives you more POWER and MOTIVATION to go for S rank. So i highly advise you to play the actual game
"This shit is edgy as fuck" - Basically Nero in a nutshell. And no it's not metaphorical, Nero/Dante/Vergil are Human and Demon hybrids and therefore they possess enhanced strength, agility and reflexes. V is a different case, he's a human but possesses demonic familiars who fight for him. Though he has some demonic power at his disposal, but more like an occultist.
@@CriticalCamZ Oh for Christ sake, always someone. V is Vergil's human side, he used Yamato to separate Man from Devil. V is human with some demonic power. Now let that sink in for a minute and now kindly fuck off.
Not complaining I love the vids but these game edits were designed to fit better in the games which is why they have a lot of weird cuts but the originals are made for listening to!
@@Jhulian_Rdo al live music streaming of you listen to doom cultist base and super gore nest and meathook and the acient gods soundtrack 1 and 2 Atlantic
I defo recommend listening to the actual full versions of these songs, these are just the Edits used in the game - they are cut up and rearranged to allow the songs to transition a lot because the game has a 'style' ranking system with Dynamic music to go with it (Dynamic in the sense that the song progresses as your 'Style' ranking changes while you play) These edits really don't do these songs justice at all, they're far far better.
I love watching people react to music from games and accurately describe the character it's based around, your prediction for V was almost completely spot on
Btw, Bury the light's Game edit is just the version of the song they use in-game. Mostly for the style system it has as well as being a little bit shorter than the original Theme/song. (A lil unlucky you could'nt lisent to the entire song sense it has more to offer than the game edit because of how they shorten it.)
"he's a drug dealer" about V LMAOOOOO y'know what, that's fair also, huh, i didn't realize the game edits were cut differently from the normal tracks :O
Interesting and refreshing to see a fresh reaction of Subhuman this far out from the original reveal That original version with he who shall not be named was like nails on a chalkboard. Genuinely could not make it past the 1st minute of song. The final version is so much more bearable and a banger to listen to
Man I'm not gonna lie, I do really like the original version, but it's because I (unfortunately) like that band, but I do prefer the final version structure better.. Damn that solo hits different
I don't think I've ever seen anyone reacting to the actual OST version of Subhuman though. Everyone, unfortunately, always reacts to the game-edit version because it's the first result that comes up when you look up "DMC5 Subhuman".
Just to help clear things up on things Dante, Vergil and Nero all Are half Devil and Half human so when all the songs talk about the devils inside them its both metaphorical on things they have experienced in there life and literal.
The best part about these themes is that the better parts come when you're doing better in game like for example if u get a stylish combo going and increase the ranking the good parts of the song comes to hype you more and they synchronization perfectly with it
I really recommend to listen to Risk of Rain 2 soundtrack. My own favorite is "The face of the Deep". It represents all the sci-fi chaos that happens in the game most accurately.
I think it's so funny watching musicians react to music because they go crazy about the instrumental parts and are just like "hmm ok" on the vocals while I just listen to the vocals and only notice the intrumentals subconsciencesly Edit: I only notice the instrumentals subconsciencely WHILE vocals are playing. when It's only the instrumentals it's obviously different
If you're interested in amazing game soundtracks I'll recommend diving into some Final Fantasy 14 tracks but just be warned once you do a video on one you'll likely open the floodgates of 14 fans coming and requesting other tracks since the fanbase loves to see people react to basically anything FF14. My recommendation is Scream, but honestly you can't go wrong with most any boss track. Footfalls is also a good one since it's sort of the "anime opening" track of the current expansion. Or A Long Fall, that one is iconic in the fanbase as a prime example of Soken's work, or To The Edge which is one of the most beloved boss tracks in the game because of the personal story behind it's composition. Plus the composer for Final Fantasy 16 is also the composer of Final Fantasy 14 so you already have a bit of an idea about the composer.
Thank you! Excellent reactions! In fact, you've listened to a game edit versions, that are mastered for a game usage as program files, I think. Vergil's theme definitely has a single guitar solo in it's last part. Game edit for me sounds like a remixed versions and never will be in my playlist, lol. \m/ Peace!
This is the version of the game edit you chose the wrong version to make the reaction video, personally I think Bury the light original version is still the best
