These pictures are of the small studio that was on the second floor of 1020 north Delaware ave in Philadelphia PA. Larry Wnukowski did the design and construction.
Dave Falciani and I leased that space and founded Studio Crash (in honor of Dave's talent for crashing his computer). It was indeed a great space. That small drum room delivered a PUNCH in recordings that I miss to this day. In this video you can catch a glimpse of the control room we added (the green walled room). This turned it into a nice two live room studio that saw many incredible local artists, and even a few, soon to be major artists come through. John Stevens among them (before the change to "Legend). Mike Harmon, head engineer did incredible work of the years, and not only took over the whole operation, but he moved it, and built out a stunning new studio not far away. Studio Crash continues to this day with Mike still at the helm. We all appreciated the work and design that went into this build as the sound of the studio made working everyday a pleasure. We all stand on the shoulders of the geniuses that made Philly the sound of the world, that echos on. It was pretty special to record in this space for years.
