Studio One: How to Import a Tempo Map

When working with your own band or bands, or are just mixing your Artist's projects, you'll sometimes get a tempo map to import into your session.
These are very useful, not just for setting the session tempo, but if there are a lot of changes in tempo, that information can alter how your time based effects can lock into the tempo of the song you're working on.

I am trying to import song data to my mix template from another project. However, there is no option to import tempo map or key signature data. Is there a way to import the time signature changes from another song?

It doesn't work for me :( no matter where I drag the main midi file to it asks me of i want to assign generalmidiþ..þ

Can the Tempo only detect Midi Tracks? can it detect Tempo of Audio (.mp3 or wav) Tracks

Not all audio files have tempo data written into them. That is a feature that Studio one can do, but if it doesn't exists before loading into your session, then it won't know. What you can do is tap tempo on your imported file, just set the track to not follow the tempo in the inspector when you do this! Once it's set to not follow, hit play and click the tempo in by clicking in time on the word tempo on the bottom right in the transport bar!

This doesn't work for me . I creates a new song each time. Dragging the main midi file into the tempo track doesn't just import the tempo for me. I'm using studio one v 5.
