A helpful hint that I arrived at after much experimentation: To liven up brass and woodwinds, especially for rock and funk (Stevie Wonder, James Brown, KC, etc) crank up the RES, PUNCH, and DRIVE about 50%. I even added a 1% RED LIGHT DIST on my trumpets and bones.
Thanks so much for this video. Just wondering, how do these instruments compare (especially in terms of range and choice) with the instruments in Logic Pro X. Am asking as I am considering a shift to Windows from Apple and am looking for an alternate DAW.

I have studio one 5.2 but I have nothing under “Presence.” Any idea why nothings there? I have sounds for Mai Tai, but when I look under Presence there’s absolutely nothing there.
The number of sounds you see at the browser depends on two factors: the kind of studio one license you have, prime, artist or professional, and the number of sounds you have configured during the initial installation of studio one.
I have Studio One 5 Professional and have paid for Spehere (Annual Subscription) but I can't see Presence although It says I have downloaded it. Any help SVP. I can't see impact either in the instruments.
In my Studio One 5 artist version, there is no such piano included, meaning the piano ribbon you present is not there, not even the folder with the pianos. In your tutorial, as I see it there, you use “presence 2”, in my Studio One there is only “presence”. So maybe this is the reason… where and how, if you know, can I get the “presence 2” with the nice piano you present in your tutorial?
Is it possible to extend the key mapping in presence? Right on top of the keys, you can see the lowest and the highest key a sample is mapped to. I want to change that.
Hey SqueakD. The grey editing area in the middle changes based on the instrument you load. Not all instrument presets uses it so sometimes it’s empty. You mean to say that you don’t have the grey area at all in S1 artist?
I have the grey area, but I never see any editing options show up in this area, regardless of chosen sound. That’s why I was curious if it was a set of edits available above the Artist version.
Kasper. When I use Presence on more than one track, when I choose a new sound the 'old' track gets affected as well: ie I might want to use a violin on Track 1 but then an organ on Track 2. Unfortunately, when I select the organ, the violin on Track 1 follows suit and I have organ on both tracks. Any pointers? Thanks
Find the instrument sound you want in the browse window on the right, then click and drag it onto your track; it will make new tab and label it presence 2. 👍
Can someone PLEASE tell us how to record these sounds (from the Presence instruments) into tracks? I have the track armed, the input selected is "all inputs" - I can see activity in the volume meter when I press keys on the keyboard to make sounds, but there is no activity in the track meter and no sound is recorded when the master record button is engaged? How do you get these sounds recorded into the tracks? PLEASE HELP!!! There has to be an easy setting I'm missing, but I've spent hours trying to find it with no luck! Thank you in advance!!
