So the eye is not a paint mistake. Haven't seen him since 2011 so that little detail escaped my memory, so now the head sculpt is GREAT! . The visible head in truck mode is apparently a call back to the G1 toy... don't care about it either way, I just thought a movie bot looking through his own windshield in alt mode was funny. Visible head syndrooooooooooooooooooome :)
“The parents are very irritating. Can I take them out?” “Ironhide, you know we don’t harm humans! What is with you?” “Well, I’m just saying... we could. It’s an option...”
Alejandro Zindel yeah, I hate how none of the new shit characters got killd off in aoe (I was hoping hound would die) yet bay killed off rachet, which sucked
Captain Dank yeah man,i miss Ratchet so much,he was a very good Autobot, but Killer Bay killed him off just like he did to Jazz and Ironhide and lets the new shitty characters alive! >:(
Wing Dagger uhh yeah. They should have made prime a leader class, since the voyagers almost reached up to him, and made a leader who still scales with grimlock
Seeing the original ironhide toy reminds me of how when I first got it I couldn't figure out how to connect his lower half with his torso so his legs hust swung around aimlessly. Then just a year ago I finally realized how I could fox that problem.
Figures I want to see in Studio Series DELUXES: Deluxe Soundwave (DOTM) Deluxe Wheeljack Deluxe Shatter Deluxe Dino/Mirage Deluxe Hot Rod Deluxe Dreadbot VOYAGERS: Voyager Sentinel Prime Voyager Onslaught Voyager Hound Voyager Jetfire (Changes into Prime Jet Mode in ROTF) Voyager Slug Voyager Swoop (Strafe) LEADERS: Leader Demolisher Leader Scorn Leader Dragonstorm TITAN CLASS: Titan Class Devastator Titan Class Infernocus
Seeing how they all scale together, this makes me think more that Prime would have looked better as a leader class instead of a Voyager, since it looks weird that Ironhide is bigger than him in truck mode and as tall as him in robot mode.
I have the original movie version and this appears to be a major upgrade. It's the most screen accurate. It's black, It has silver paint on the face. It looks far easier to transform. The weapons are painted. Everything tabs in place. And a very clean looking transformation. Will be after this when it's released.
Em-Go, Hi!! Of ALL the"Ironhides" that You've demonstrated, This one is by far the best looking!!!! 🤗 It's more screen accurate & the engineering is absolutely awesome!!!! And this coming from a collector since 1985, The year the toys hit the States from Japan!!!! 👍🏼
Great video. I agree with you about the bumper. They should of made the ends fold of it ether against the wheels or back under neath them. Wish he had ankle tilts as well. But definitely a upgrade form the original toy. And new transformation.
I totally agree with you Emgo, in robot-mode that bumper is an eye-sore, and they should have added some silver to his legs to break up all of that solid black.
Despite the bumper being an apparent distraction, I really ignore that setback and just enjoy how they made Ironhide accurate to the films. The boxart however does not match his actual facial appearance.
Wow. I’m Sooo far behind in getting any of these transformers. Nobody has these anymore. And eBay is just ravaging everyone that wants one. You have a great video presentation and explanation for all of the reviews on on your channel. Love Mascot and your skits. You are the best Emgo.
ShowZ store bro, Beiwei just released the remold of this guy, with extra accessories and the filler piece upgrade for that gap in the truck, plus an amazing paint job that is VASTLY improved imo, and all that for an AMAZING price! Go preorder now if you want him. He releases at the end of the month (April) I have a feeling he'll go fast.
This and Jazz are a few of the figures in this line that make me kinda wish I was still collecting movie figures. But I'm happy with my Prime Wars set so far and as it grows.
There is just one problem with trying to get that original 2007 movie family right now. We never saw that version of bumblebee because by the time they all met up he was the new camaro
My local Walmarts in Texas stocked him yesterday and I got myself one. They also have wave 3 of the Deluxes of VW Bee, DOTM Ratchet, and the Lockdown repaint.
I hope they make a new Bonecrusher in this line, he hasn't had any love unfortunately. Barricade would also be nice but I have the one from DOTM which is a good placeholder.
Look like you got the gang back to together again You feel lucky punk You dare to put that gun on me I tear you apart Decepticon Punk Thank you for the awesome video I will get that Ironhide soon.
Its great to see this get a re-release from Beiwei. And with some extra goodies, a better paint job and fixes. The best being the change to the front bumber, it folding into the sides makes him look even better in the waist region, plus the filler piece for the back of truck mode. I absolutely can't wait for the release, had mine preordered and paid off weeks ago lol. Considering this guys rarity, I cant recommend it enough, especially for the price. For anyone interested I suggest you go take a look.
Such great detail on 'Hide. Why they kill him? I know with the whole 1986 film, which is a Vietnam-esque fever dream where they kill off some robots because their toys got discontinued, but the true reason was the stock crash of 86, where hasbro lost hard. MLP was gone then.
So, as far as the vehicle scale goes, I don't know if it's that off. Ironhide's vehicle mode is a GMC Topkick, and even though it looks like a normal pickup, Topkicks are massive. I think the scale may be accurate.
EmGo, I'm trying to decide if I should get this Ironhide or the 2007 Transformers Voyager Class Ironhide. Which one do you think is better and which one would you recommend for me to buy? I love all of your videos by the way.
It's a nice figure, but he definately feels too big, in both modes. I mean... he's as tall as SS Prime and wider too. Probably in terms of scale a better match would be the old Hunt for the Decepticons Deluxe IH, which should be more or less the same size as SS Ratchet. But if somebody just wanted a well made vojager version of this character, this is definately one of the better ones.
Also got mine from singapore..lucky enough to have a friend working there...really nice figure just the bumper thing though should've had a hinge or something to fold it & hide a bit
Tbh, gonna take a hard pass on this one. More interested in the MPM Ironhide coming next month, since i just bought the Legendary Toys MPM Optimus (thanks for the review btw Emgo; saved me money against the official one being like 170$) and it scales with that. What's the likelihood they do Ironhide as well with a hopefully premium paint job?
