In this video, Susan shares a transformative studio tip for silversmiths, highlighting the power of simplifying tools and embracing handwork to infuse unique energy into your creations. Susan passionately advocates for a minimalist approach, stressing that relying on too many tools can make your work blend in with everyone else’s. She introduces the "nomadic tool set" she’s developing, perfect for artists on the go.
The key tip Susan shares is about using self-pickling flux for quenching hot pieces instead of water. This ingenious method removes fire scale from the pieces, allowing you to continue working without the repetitive use of pickle, thus saving valuable time. Drawing from her experience with traditional silversmiths and infusing it with her artistic flair, Susan inspires you to find the perfect balance between craftsmanship and creativity. Embrace this tip and elevate your silversmithing journey!

{UNFOLDING}
This isn't just another jewelry-making class. This is doing work as your authentic self.
The practices taught inside Unfolding are specifically created to break through blocks and give you the tools to show up regularly and do work that is important to you.
Part of the job of an artist is to download information from the universe and present it physically. When you use the Unfolding tools of meditation, creative movement and working inside a talisman word, you easily drop into flow (which is the best feeling ever!) and build work that contributes to the world.

Everyone be quiet, Susan is giving me a tip! Haha love this thank you ❤ Do we still need to use our copper tongs to retrieve our pieces out of this solution?

How does the file sale come off with pickle. It might get rid of oxidation but fires ale needs to be sanded away.
