LOVED your video, I love to tone of the video it self, calming relaxing and yet exciting to see the details in your studio which it kept very organized, you should see my room, which I'm actually cleaning right now after seeing your space. I also loved your studio palette and the colorways of your stash and new acquisitions. You really have a well defined style, thank you for sharing and starting my year with a goal.

Your space looks wonderful, and you did mention you had to do quite a bit of clean-up to present it. I like that honesty. And I dont think I am alone in wanting to see the reality of your working space. Especially after this year, I think so many of us are done with the fantasy of film and want to experience other people’s real lives. I for one would be so much more inspired to see a messy studio, and of course the after-the-clean-up too but give us the reality because that is how we can really relate to you! I Enjoy your videos, thanks for posting. Have really good holidays.

Haha! I try to tidy it as I go. Which means that I can't really start working when there's mess around. At one point in my life it wasn't impacting me whatsoever, but now that I'm (older?), I really can't take it! So when I start working it's usually quite neat, and then, as the ideas develop, and the swatches, cables, and needles take over on my desk, that's when it gets messy! There's plenty of footage of me working with a ton of stuff around in many of my videos actually! And when I edit I'm always telling myself that I should I tidied up! But that's the reality of things :)

That was so lovely and peaceful Melody. The chimes were just lovely. Seeing your yarn stash makes me want to find more natural yarn fibres to work with locally to me. Maybe even yarn dyeing this summer with plants? :)

Just discovered your channel and this was the first video I watched... it's so fun to see your studio! Thank you for sharing. I'm curious why you prefer non super wash yarns? I'm just starting out and have so much to learn. I've only ever bought super wash.

How beautiful! I would love to knit one of your patterns and am wondering which one you would recommend. I am an intermediate knitter, but I haven't tackled any adult sized garments or socks yet. Love everything you do!
@Mandarines
@Mandarines 3 года назад
I would say that really depends which type of garment you would like to make! I would say that might patterns are quite straight forward. And when there's a stitch or a technique that is a little bit tricky, I usually have written instructions or a dedicated video for it!

Perhaps I missed it: Did you explain why you now keep your yarn in paper bags?
@Mandarines
@Mandarines 3 года назад
I store the same yarn balls/ similar yarn weigths in a single bag so then I don't have to search for the yarn. I think that it's quite pretty to look at and it also (might?) add another level of protection against moth (on top of using an essential oil spray every single week. :)
