I think the reason he sings slightly different in the live version is because he is on a show he has dreamt of competing in since he began his music career, and the entire stadium was singing along to his song. Having an emotional moment like that while singing is bound to make you sound more emotional, like he does in the live version. He doesnt sound emotional in the same way at his own shows.

Well… he is extremely out of breath and airy in the live performance. It kinda throws you off. Other contestants were capable of running dancing and jumping around while singing much more demanding songs.

His voice sounds brilliant and natural in both. The crowd adored him and he would’ve won but he proved himself to be the most successful contestant this year without Eurovision anyway!

Thats why hes always on the run for his sadness and always needs to find distraction. Thats why the song name are 2 words combined: Europa and papa combined europapa. The message of the song is that u need to leave behind all the traumatic experiences and sad things that happend in ur life. Sounds like a happy energetic song, but if you dive deeper its actually very sad

It is supposed to be a star, same as on the European Union flag. It becomes a star when he puts his elbows out and bends them. But I agree It is symbolism and way over the top. Almost everything is at the European song contest.
@@lrn_jelle4403what happened is a woman filming him in the backstage. Idk if it's real or not but they said theres a contract that doesn't allow people record at the backstage. And the reason he did that because after blocking the camera the woman start mocking his dead dad that's why I think hes do the bad gesture.
Sad we couldn't see him perform at the final, in the final all the artists brings that extra extra extra passion, energy and soul, still, he is good and that song have a lot of meaning and depth in a party banger disguise.
