In this vlog I am working towards wrapping up a sketchbook and make progress with two more paintings. One of them I decide to make a big mess on purpose so I can see if I can resurrect it and the second painting I paint from an old painting and I love how both of them turn out - I hope you enjoy it! Sandi, I could watch you paint for hours. Seriously. Not only is it relaxing but it’s so interesting to see how you make marks and get an idea of how your brain works. Love the laying process. I love the idea of creating a piece, then messing it up intentionally. This is a great way to challenge my creativity so I can learn to problem solve. It also will help me to deeply look into my style and determine what I like and what I don't like. And maybe most importantly, it will take the pressure off of me to create something "perfect", teaching my A.D.D. brain to relax and enjoy the process. Isn't that what creativity is all about?! Thank you for uplifting my spirit!!! Love you and your art.😊💛

I too have been binging your channel. It's freed up my own practice as I learn how to paint. I love your video production, your content and your style. I've discovered so much about myself and my own practice that existed but only after seeing you embrace the way you do things. And I have taken on the practice of repeating the same painting because once the content is familiar, I can explore it with other mediums so much more confidently. I have been dealing with my 89 year old Dad’s ICU stay over the last few days. He has lived independently his whole life. He will be transferred to a nursing home soon. I cried all the way home! I'm going to revisit your vid on loosening up. You are so fearless and willing to paint over hours of work till you're happy with it. I wish I was that brave. I get feeling very precious after a certain amount of time working on a piece and that leads to frustration and eventually abandonment of the work. Your work is just so bright, balanced, and layered. Oh my, the sound of you flipping through the painted pages of your sketchbook is SO satisfying. I loved the evolution of the vase of flowers. The ‘carving out’ of the leaves and flowers produced such beautiful shapes. 😊

You should scan these in photoshop and sell the art prints as like 4x6 prints or 5x7 cause I would love to have these as a small print to put into a picture frame and hang on my wall. I know that was one long run on sentence but you know what I mean, at least I hope you do hehe.

Paint is so cool. I'm just not really starting to get more into painting. Just love how if you don't like something, you can just keep going until you do! Loved the transformation. Pretty soon your sketchbooks are going to be 5 foot by 6 foot. LOL

I absolutely love your inspiring videos. I was in a paint rut for a few weeks but yesterday I crawled out and started slapping paint! I was thinking of your loose approach and just let the process happen! It amazes me how you journey through a piece. Love it. I wish we could see more camping time…I live in a country where camping doesn’t really exist and Im a Canadian living in Panama SA missing the beautiful Rocky mountains! Beautiful vlog ! No Mather how much I watch and rewatch your videos, they always bring so much joy to me. Like now, I was painting an abstract self portrait for a magazine but my hand and body blocked of the stress (and feeling of it has to be perfect, as it will be published). Glad I can watch your vlogs on that moment to give me a boost of motivation to never mind and just have fun. Trust the process, right :)

This was so interesting to me for a number of reasons. I loved every stage of this paint-over in your sketchbook, even when you said it was bad. I was blown away when i recognized where you were going with this work. The finished work, glimpsed in a previous video in which you did a flip-through of your sketch book has been my screen saver for months.
