I have some questions to ask. Please do not get offended by my questions. I just want to learn. Why go to Lisbon, Portugal to take a course in 'Sustainability and Environmental Justice'? Can't that be learned in the U.S.A.? I would think Spain or Mexico would be a better destination, just because you could learn Spanish there also. Portuguese is not an international language, but Spanish is. Is your major Economics? What does 'Sustainability and Environmental Justice' have to do with Economics? Or was the course just taken to fulfill a general education requirement, and you or someone had the money to pay for it? Did Rice pay for you to take that 'Sustainability and Environmental Justice' in Lisbon, Portugal, or did your parents pay for it, or did you get a scholarship to be able to take it in Lisbon, Portugal? Overall, what is the cost for you to take that course in Lisbon, Portugal? As for my daughter, I would rather she go to [Communist] China, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippines, or Japan, to take a course over there. My daughter is planning to major in Engineering (Biomedical, or Mechatronics). She is currently in the 11th grade, but she is taking STEM college courses for an Engineering. She will get her high school diploma, and Associates Degree in Engineering, in May 2023. Does Rice accept dual-credit college courses taken at a college? Harvard does not accept dual-credit college courses. Any college courses that my daughter passed at a college or university, while she was in high school, will not be accepted at Harvard. If my daughter is accepted to Harvard, she will have to retake those college courses all over again [Freshman English, Sophomore English, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Programming 1 (C++), Physics for Engineers & Scientists 1, Physics for Engineers & Scientists 2]. There is some probability that my daughter will go to Rice University. But her choices are UCLA, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Caltech, Cal State Long Beach, Dartmouth, and MIT also. We live in New Mexico. I just want to learn, because my daughter might go to Rice University. Is this your 3rd year at Rice, or your 4th year? How do you like your experiences at Rice? Was it challenging? Was it worth it? Did you make a lot of good friends? Is there campus protesting of Conservatives there? Did you love it there, or what? Rice is ranked 94th in the World by QS World Ranking, 24th by Forbes College Ranking, 7th by Niche College Ranking, 3rd in Engineering in the U.S.A., and 69th in ROI (Return on Investment) over a 40 year period. Rice is an excellent university! I hope you are happy there, made a lot of good friends there, and are successful there also.

@@StephanieHuYT If you or any of your friends like sports by the way, and if you are still in Lisbon on the 16th of April, try to get tickets for the derby (Sporting - Benfica). Those are something extra. But avoid getting seats too close to the ultras. ;)

I chose Portugal because our program about sustainability and environmental justice takes place there, and that's something I've always been curious to learn more about. Also, I wanted to go out of my comfort zone and live somewhere that I've never visited before!
