Hello, everyone 🖤Raevyn here🖤 Thanks for all the love and the feedback about the sound issue! For those of you seeking a better alternative, please check out my other Dark Academia 25/5 Pomodoro 🖤 👇 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BJ1cnkFC4jg.html
I actually like this one better! With the other one, I've missed multiple breaks by accident because the signal for the break wasn't clear enough. I was initially shocked at the music from this one just like everyone else was, but it wasn't in a bad sort of way, and now I really think this podomoro is great the way it is. It's my favorite video from you!
@@INNERACADEMIA Hahaha I actually like the bells like this! Usually when 25 minutes ends, I have a hard time stopping what I'm doing to take a break, so having the bells jolts me out of it so that I actually go and take a break :)
I just reached the first break and the sound just scared the crap out of me T-T but other than that I love the video so far (the longer I got into it tho I realized the rain is really quiet in comparison to the break sounds so I keep having to adjust my volume or i either won't hear the rain at all or I will be blasting the music/bells)
Thank you for the valuable feedback! I def. hear you. I will make sure to better balance out the volume throughout. Thanks for watching :) Happy pomodoro -
@@INNERACADEMIA Hahaha it scared me too!! I liked it, though!! It's a good kind of jump because then I actually go and get up to take a break instead of just continuing to sit there!
i love how the majority of the comments are about the first bell scaring the crap out of everyone HAHAHA, cus same. love the video, it helped me concentrate harder :))
Thank you so much for this. I have ADHD and it's really hard for me to get my work done, but this video has helped me maintain straight A's in college tremendously. I am so thankful.
you have no idea about how much you saved my life with this... it literally gave me the concentration i was lacking for loooong hours. i love you sm thank you
Tips for studying with adhd: -Use videos like this that help you focus, with necessary breaks. During breaks, get up and walk, dance, wiggle, and go get some water or tea. -For each page you read, have a small treat! (Like an m&m or chocolate chip) Or, use tally marks for however many pages you read, and invent a system to treat yourself based off of that. Maybe, each tally mark is a penny, or 5¢ or 10¢, and at a set time or date, the money that you've 'earned' from studying is how much you get to spend on a fun treat. (e.g. a movie, visit to a restaurant or cafe, giant chocolate bar, stuffed animal, That One Thing You've Been Wanting™, etc.) -Plan a medium-sized treat for each chapter/lesson done. (Like a gummy worm, a graham cracker, a Lifesaver, etc.) -Plan a bigger treat for each study session/each time you finish a big daunting assignment. (Maybe a muffin, a nice cup of tea - make it special with honey and cream - or a mug of hot chocolate or eggnog. Whatever!) -Take a stroll outside or sit by the window, get some sun, for just a few minutes if you're feeling down or stressed. Fresh air, movement, and being in nature really helps. Just... Make sure you set a timer to go back to your studies if you're not finished, so you don't forget! -Make sure your study space is clean and conducive to good focus. I'm not saying everything has to be perfectly organized or minimalistic - my desk could be considered quite cluttered - just make sure to take care of trash and unnecessary distractions and stressors. If an environment makes you feel stressed, it's not good to study in. Your study space should be a calm space, whatever that be for you. Please please make studying fun for yourself. It's so worth it, and learning is an awesome privilege. Also, don't overwork yourself, either. Take good care of your body, hydrate, sleep, periodically take a moment to just relax, and don't over stress your brain by studying more than is good. Your brain needs time to rest, think, and process things. Otherwise you get burnout. These are all things that work for me, but then again, people are different, and other methods may work better for them. That being said, please share your own systems, tips, and ideas here! I wanna knowww
i dont have adhd, but i have add and i literally never get any writing or studying done. this seems like such a helpful system !! im goin to copy and paste it into a google doc-- if you dont mind :>> anyhow, im goin to try this out and see how it goes !!
@@burningperfume please do!! I really hope it helps. I have the non-hyperactive (add) type too, but apparently that doesn't exist as a medical term anymore, and it's all under the ADHD umbrella. :/ The whole thing is kind of a misnomer anyways, but whatever "Can't sit still or focus disorder" tch
@@NighttimeDaydreams ohh gotcha, i had no idea that didn't exist as a medical term anymore. and tbf yeah, it is kind of a misnomer smh anyhow, so far it has been helpin ! i've tweaked the system just a bit for now since i'm working on writing a book-- and i set a goal for each ten pages done is ten minutes towards a youtube and popcorn break. i just hit ten pages, and ive been workin on this all week, so im super grateful to you for suggestin the entire idea for the system. also-- how's your day goin ? i hope you're doin well !!
@@burningperfume awesome! My day is going well, thank you for asking. The weather is nice here, for it being winter, and weather almost always effects my mood. It was so nice and sunny, perfect for a Sunday lol. Daydreaming on the way to and from church was fantastic because of the scenery. I'm trying to catch up on math, right now, which is one of those love/hate (but mostly hate) subjects for me, but honestly I'd much rather be writing. I have so many beginnings of awesome stories that I haven't written much of, haha I know everything (ok maybe not everything) there is to know about writing, all except for how to get myself to actually remember to write. It's awesome that you're doing that.
Genuinely loveee this Pomodoro! The bells are loud, but the bells on my campus scare the daylights out of me almost every day, so I'm pretty desensitized lol
I'm listening to this around a year now. But the bell scares everything out of me - every time :D So thanks for the 3h video as alternative. It's the only thing that works for me, I don't like music in the background, it distracts me. So thank you for this. 🙂
Time to get work done!!! With a cup of hot coffee on a windy , strom day studying front of window at evening while watching rain with this video. PERFECT ATMOSPHERE
I'm literally studying in a uni library with rain outside the window yet i need this to help me concentrate, make it make sense. ( genuinely so happy i found this though bc im very picky with what i listen to when i study bc too much stimulation is distracting but so is not enough and this one is just perfect. )
Beautifully created visuals. Perfect gloomy day, rain, and vintage-style architecture. It was giving me Harry Potter (6 and 7) vibes without being as distracting as some Harry Potter ambiences I have come across.
I come back to this one time and time again. I like the other aesthetics too but nothing gets me like this one 🥰😍 I would LOVE a ton of variations of this one (longer breaks, longer segments, etc.)
this is my FAVOURITE video of this genre that i've ever found. immediately subscribed, thank you so much!!!!! this is incredibly useful, i never really use the pomodoro technique but it's very effective to make pauses last the right amount of time, plus the ambience you created is gorgeous and the music / sound effects are perfect
Thank you for this fantastic video, it's perfect for my chaotic and inability to focus mind. I've been able to complete a lot of uni projects and now finishing my dissertation to complete my degree. It's been a complete nightmare but this video has helped me SO so much, I deeply thank you for this, you've kind of saved me. ❤️
I really love your videos! I crave these cozy ambiences, and without any music i can concentrate much longer. Thank your for providing us with a little cozy bliss!
I really like this video, i studied all the way through, it helped me to stay focused. I am preparing for my final exams in medicine and its quite tough. During the breaks, I had short walks in the sun outside. We can do it! we can do it AND maintain our nerves &health
Thank you so much. You can't even imagine how helpful your videos are. This one is my favorite *specifically because of the loud ring bell at the break* - I'm turning down volume here so I can't hear the rain while listening to different background music in other tab. So, when the break comes, I hear it in a gentle way :)
I feel so happy to hear that! I am a designer by training so I can't help but to make sure things are practical for the end users hehe :) You are so so welcome. Come back any time for more!
This video is amazing. Can’t believe I’m on my last break. Royal core next! And I actually like the volume difference and change of type of music for the breaks. 😊 Thanks for making this!
I just finished this session and want to give you the biggest thank you. I have never been able to concentrate with other videos as much as I could with this one. You truly are amazing. Keep doing what you are doing!
Thank you so much for this it helped me very much in building discipline when it comes to studying for my exams. Keep up the hard work and I wish your channel success
You're music keep my soul safe and calme wherever i listen to this playlist i belive in love in destiny in imagination and i remember good memories with someone i love him so much thanks for this art you made because it's make me feel that i'm alive and nothing is impossible and i'll wait and wait for good things to happend
Love this video. Great for concentrating and working. I usually have issues with staying focused but this video helped a lot. And very beautiful asthetic. Well done! Saved it in my favourites.
Pleaaaase for the love of god, do another one just like this i just love it so much, i keep on replaying it it's just perfect! I need another one with the bells and the piano music in the breakssss
This is my favourite video on your channel. I love the timer :D 25 min is the perfect length for a productive study session. I hope you will make more videos like this.
I am so happy to hear that ☺ Thank you for the feedback. I am making a new one right now!! and have many more ideas for the future Ambience + Pomodoro videos. Excited to share them with you soon :D
I searched 10 minute timer, not realizing there were literally video timers. There are so many time waster videos on RU-vid, but I just stumbled on a gem genre of content.
This was helpful and helped me focus when I was feeling very unmotivated. Please keep making more of these videos with the 25/5 Pomodoro method thanks :)
I was listening to this using headphones with full volume in the LIBRERY........... I jumped from my chair at the first break bell. (btw good vibe love it)
I read your comments about the bell, I was prepared... and then suddenly BANG. Anyways love this video, finally getting started on the essay I've been procrastinating
it's a very helpful video the sound isn't annoying and I can concentrate for a short time. and separation 25/5 very convenient. thank you so much for this.
I love this video. I love the calm sound of rain and the music during the break. It makes me feel like I'm in my fantasy dark academia university.❤ Studying for my upcoming semester while using this. Loving it so far.❤
I saw the comments before starting my homework and I was like let me hear the break bells things and see if I get scared, I didn't. But when I was working and checked the timer and saw that only 1 minute was remaining I was like, I am not getting scared, chill out, and stuff but when the timer went off I got chills. So if you were like me, I can confirm you will most probably get scared. PS: Thanks for the video, it really does help me
I love reading, but I've been so anxious that I wasn't able to read... I kept thinking nonstop while I tried to read my book. But with this I'm able to focus more! Thank you for this
Such a great video! You have nailed the ambience and had just the right amount of noise, it was extremely great whilst I was doing my law work (Instantly subscribed!) Please continue doing these videos and I really hope your channel blows up because your videos are great!
