the people that say you have to speak in tongue are usually saying you don t have the baptism of the holy ghost meaning you have no power.which I know is wrong.and I think you would agree.you do some good teachings I like hearing you speak

The Holy Spirit was not in Babel. They were trying to make a name for themselves by building the tower of Babel. Sin seperated man from God

Thanks for the lesson; it is good to learn.Like most preachers in the christian world, this lesson also takes an unbalanced view. The incident of acts 2 showed that when a lot of people talked in a lot of languages together, a lot of people witnessing it could recognize many of those languages. Why not teach also that Paul instructed the new believers that interpretation/ translation is necessary if someone speaks in tongues?

I agree. Also i might add in this case it is a Descriptive event that happened and it is not a Prescriptive passage. Therefore we should take what happened in Acts 2 as an historical event where God was doing something amazing to start His church. Also I might add that Peter does not say this prophecy is 'fulfilled'. The Holy Spirit made sure of that. He was saying what was happening was compared to that of Joel. If Joel prophecy was being fulfilled all Israel would have come to faith that day. See Jesus said He will return right back in Act 1, very soon. They had that expectation about that which maybe why Peter thought Joel was being fulfilled. See in the Prophecy it is recorded that Jesus the Messiah will return after many languages, fjll repentance of Israel followed by the return of the wonderful Savior fof the day of the Lord. That is Judgement day. So I expect that the Joel prophecy is yet to be fulfilled... i cannot denote speaking from tongues is for believers in this passage. Therefore we must look somewhere else like Corinthians.... Blessings

He is not dealing with the part of the Bible Where Paul instructed if a translator is not present then those that would talk in tongues should remain silent, he is dealing only with Acts 2.

Acts 2:38 was a nationan message to ths Jews. Acts is a transitional book In Acts ch. 28 the Apostle to the Gentiles makes 1 more offer, it was refused Paul goes to the Gentiles teaching " the kingdom of God" entered by the "new birth" " baptized into Jesus Christ by the Spirit (no water there). Paul never preached the "kingdom of heaven" a Jewish message, a physical kingdom on earth which will begin when the " heavens open and the white horse rider "Jesus" comes and takes the "kingdoms of this world "by force. You must study dispensations to rightly divide.

Speaking in unknown tongue is speaking in the heavenly language He didn't fill me with his Holy Ghost to speak to a Japanese man oh my Goodness Matthew 28:19,20 ( TITLES )goes with Acts 2:38 (NAME ) THAT NAME IS JESUS Isaiah 43:3 For I am the Lord thy God < the Holy ONE of Israel , THY SAVIOR, John 1:1-14 John 17 That Whole Chapter talks about 1 ONE oneness Colossians 1: who is the image of the invisible GOD ????? Revelation 1:8 ,11,18 I AM ALPHA AND OMEGA ( written in red ) JESUS speaking First and the last !!! There is NO OTHER !!!!!!!! THERE IS ONLY ONE 1 AND THAT IS JESUS CHRIST THE TRUE AND LIVING GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
