people have to remember that girls planet had 99 girls from 3 different countries so a lot of them didn't interact and would've only seen some girls on stage. nien and kotone were never in the same performance or cell and most c group and j group girls didn't know much korean let alone each other's languages so there really wasn't many opportunities for them to interact on the show.

Hyerin and Yeonji are so cute and adorable their whole segment, esp 6:08 when Hyerin mixes up f(x)'s Electric Shock and Rum Pum Pum Pum and Yeonji is just totally lost! They're too young, lol! 💖💖
I dont know why people are surprised Kotone couldnt remember her very well. There were still 50 girls after they both made it past the 1st elimination. Then Nein (Nancy) was eliminated during the 2nd while Kotone made it till the 3rd. Plus they were never on a team together. GP999 had so many more contestants than MTG. 2 trainees from GP999 that ended up debuting together in ILY1, believe it was Rona (Jing) and Ara (Yunji), didn't even know the other had been on the show (they had been with different companies during the show) as they had no interactions w/ each other. Also she said she looked familiar. It's no different then seeing someone you went to school with but didn't have any classes with. Lol
@Fear Not Kotone wasn't on ice cream team. She was on VVS team. For the 3rs round if Nien hadn't been eliminated she would have been on Shoot team while Kotone was w/ U + Me team.
This is such a good way to put it. Many expected her to know Nien because they were in the same show but reality is they didn’t really get time to interact with each other.
People should understand that during GP999, there were almost 100 girls there and they had a tight schedule. So not surprised Kotone didn't recognized Nancy right away because all of them had their own cell and team to focus on. Mnet barely gave all the girls time to interact with each other.
Not surprising, they were always in different teams and are from different countries + there were 99 girls in the show. They will know each other now! I heard Ruan is a mutual friend. We know Ruan and Kotone are good friends and Ruan performed Ice Cream with Nien.

For those who don't know. Nien (S13) participated in Girls Planet 999 and was in the same cell as Kepler's Bahiyyih!! Kotone also participated in that reality show.
