Please make a video on self improvement ( where ever I go try to talk to other I feel left out no one like and sometimes I say and do some wired things and I shouldn't do ) please a video to improve are self so I couldn't feel left out
Active recall - make quizlet or flashcards and "gamify learning" - Learning curve, knowledge is forgotten unless constantly used Feynman technique - Teach information in easy terms to a friend or to no one and record yourself Spaced repetition - works well with active recall - Want to be able to do a "quizlet or homework" 3 times, spread between 3 different days Priming - Visualize, close eyes and think why this is important, visualize you knowing the material - listen to music, my opinion 40hz gamma music, but personal preference is key - get your brain excited to study Optimized breaks - time spent studying doesnt equal material learned - use naps or nsdr to your advantage
For personal use 1) do qs instead of just reading the notes. It'll help in active recall 2)only check the notes after trying to solve multiple times with multiple methods 3) Feynman technique, just record what you're studying. Physics, chemistry stuff and listen when you're free. 4) devote majority of your day for question practice 5) repeat your mocks for increasing speed 6) don't loose focus. You must do this rn. So just enjoy, listen to music, treat it like a video game. Ignore other bs. This should be your only priority. Don't fuck up.
I've been going down the rabbit-hole of study tips but found it hard to wrap my head around them all, this video summarized everything that I've read, seen and heard. Thank you so much. I will save this video and come back many times.
As a Yale Neuroscience student, I can confirm that everything Collin said here is so valuable 🤝 Don’t fool yourself when studying!! If you don’t know the answer when practicing or doing flashcards, no big deal. Review, and retry later 👊
I have 5 weeks until my exams begin, I’ll use this video fully to help me, current grades I’m sitting on from last year is : E in Geography, C in Computer Science, Merit in Business 1, and Pass in Business 2. I’ll come back once I get my results.
Study tips that actually work 1. Active recall: remembering what you read , make it like a game Make a fun quizlet Use chatgpt for questions Study Past papers 2.Feynman technique: Teach things u read 3. Spaced repetition: Read ur notes, quizlet, past paper with this technique This improves long term memory with relaxed way Do it 3times... In 3 days Defeat the forgetting curve with spaced repetition 4. Priming + optimized breaks Manipulate ur own mind to feel more focused Close ur eyes for 30 seconds and visualise why u r studying this, why it is important to be an academic weapon Listen music Time studying ≠ knowledge Take naps/ NSDR (non sleep deep rest) Bye bye 👋🏻🫂
I have my main exam tomorrow and I followed u since long so u tell these many times and i followed these techniques through the preparation. Now I have confidence to give the exam. All thanks to u. This video is real blessing for me.
Collin, ive been watching your videos for quite a while and they are extremely helpful! I dont think theres anyone else on the platform with studying tips like yours. Thank you for putting in effort for making these videos.
This was what my school did to all of the students and I thought it was crazy to drill past papers and tons of questions but yeah I did get straight A’s. Can’t believe I was already doing this 20 years ago.
okay, but i think watching videos is NOT a waste of your time. they would effectively work if you're studying difficult concepts. flashcards for me could stump my brain especially if there is a lot to memorize. from personal experience, where i only used flashcards, its good for short term memory like quizzes but it could significantly drag you in your exams if you didn't take the time to understand the material. videos can give you a broad overview.
1)Active Recall *Gamify Studying,Make Quizlets,Flashcards Or Use Chatgpt to make them *Practice Past Papers Constantly *Feymen Technic: Teach Someone The Topic Or Use Phone Recorder) 2) Spaced Repetition *Do The Past Papers And The Topics 3 Times Constantly And 2 Days Later Again Do The Same Thing Over And Over 3) Priming *Close your eyes and visualise everything *Listen Lofi Music(I prefer lofi Quran As A Muslim) 4)Take Breaks And Naps Accordingly
wait.. you guys STUDY?! All I do is Pay attention in class closely and take notes and then my homework helps me memorize stuff and I got a 95% on my Math Test
Thank you for the study techniques!! I have board exams for class 11 from the day after tomorrow. I will use all the techniques while revising the syllabus! Thank you, Collin! Waiting for your video for a long time!
You’re so good and straight to the point when it comes to what works, ive probably watched 50 videos on studying methods to the point that I spent more time watching them than studying, but there are barely youtubers who get straight to the point. Most of them spit a lot of theoretical stuff that by the end of the video I don’t know what method to follow
i've been searching for a good video like this for a long time. it says everything and in the shortest time, good job and thank you very much. will be thinking of you during my next uni session haha
Good work Collin! I’ve been watching your videos in the morning before heading off for school and on days I do that I feel so much more productive and I have so much more ideas. I also tend to get a lot of work done on those days. I’ll save this for tomorrow because tomorrow week I have a quiz in a subject I’m not necessarily the best in and I want to make this quiz experience different because I notice I’m big on procrastination with studying. Have a good week everyone!
Thank you sooo much for thisss, I'll be taking entrance exams in some big colleges. I'll keep in mind all of these techniques and go back here once I pass and ace those exams YAHHHH see yaaah on 2025 ❤️🔥 🙌
Collin thanks for do this video it's amazing how you can explain this type of themes so easily, it prove that you put in practice all of this knowledge. I hope that the person that read this comment has a good day.
When i have to edit videos, if I am a high school student ,please tell me, should I wake up at 4 am for it or should I edit it immediately when I got home?🤔pls help me🙏
Uhm i tried it, but it ma,es me focus more on the music than the study itself, listening to less noisy music which just classifies as background music for your brain does the trick!
When i use feyman technique i teach one of my cats and i get mad at them when they dont look at me or start sleeping while i'm teaching 😭😭 it make my studying sm fun. If anyone with pets watching this com TRY IT
Thanks for the video Collin , in 1.5 weeks I’ve got an exam which is inclusive of 4 subjects collectively. Will put these tips into action and update my progress .
I am a pre-IGCSE student in Myanmar, and I am not good at anything, but not in my history class! However, I hope the methods that you recommended can improve my education!!!!!!!
Start studying earlier with spaced repetition and active recall, and feel way more prepared than spending the same amount of time cramming the day before 📚🎓
But collin to go through the past papers you must have some knowledge right. If you have zero knowledge about the subject and you go through all the past papers Obvioulsly you will go blank.

If you wanna ace your exams, theres only one best thing which is doing practice questions. The reason is your actually doing what youre going to do in test and it makes you more familiar with the questions.
I'm surprised to see that I already do almost all that cause I clicked on your video to find new methods 😭 These methods are FIRE i've been doing this for months and i'm the top student in almost all my classes 🎀
