Yep, I’m definitely subscribing! Your videos are so calming and cute and it makes me proud and feel a lot more comfortable and confident knowing that someone my color is out living their dreams in Asia! It can be a little overwhelming to travel to different places so I am glad that you are experiencing this! I also love the editing and your humor 😂 it feels like you are my friend or something, like we’re on FaceTime. I hope you can continue to making interesting and cute videos! Have a great day😚💖

So glad I got recommended this! I’m pretty sure made up my mind and almost sure to say I will be studying in Northern Europe in a couple of months for two/three weeks and hopefully will be able to do my Master’s there! Thanks much for the vlog as studying chinese was one of my first options and one of my dearest friends does so! I would be thrilled to stay for some time in the country someday! 🫶🏼
I have been seeing brown/black girls riding bicycles in my campus for so many times but never had a chance to talk... So I'm somewhat always wondering about their life thus searched for this..... and OMG THIS IS SOOO CUTE😇thank you for your video and super cute songs hhh

I might be studying abroad there too ahhh so excited but it might be Chengdu instead of Shanghai😭 still looking forward to it especially after watching your vlog 🫶🏼
i’m not black so i can’t help but i am chinese and you can definitely check xiaohongshu and see what it’s like to be black in china!! i can def say tho that a lot of ppl will prob try to take pictures of/with you since they think you’re a black celebrity + getting comments abt your hair or skin are very common
Hi! My experience was amazing! There were some stares, of course, which makes sense because China is a homogenous country. But none of them felt malicious or frightening, more curious than anything and they honestly didn’t bother me at all. A few people did come up to me and ask to take pictures but other than that, the natives were extremely welcoming and friendly😊 I felt extremely safe in the country and even took late night walks when I wanted to!
I recently went to china for vacation and I loved it! Going in I didn’t know what to expect but everything literally blew my expectations (except the availability of halal food 😅 but hopefully that improves). Would I study there? For a semester I can but I still think I need a group of foreign students to go with just so we can explore the city together and not get lost
Many universities in China actually have halal canteens on campus, and in my opinion it's very easy to find other foreign friends especially at University👀
YES! I experienced absolutely NO racism, but also I was in Shanghai where foreigners are more common than other places in China so that could be a factor. But please don’t let the fear of racism effect your wishes😊🙏🏽
i want to go to uni in shanghai too !! btw i have a question, how did you get the single room ? did you choose or did they just give it to you? and is it more expensive?
Ohh did you study on a summer camp? That's so cool!! I was curious to read fashion design on your schedule. Was the summer camp expensive? Was it only for fashion designers?
Yes I did! The tuition for the camp was free because the other students and I applied and were eligible for a scholarships, with the HSK 1+ requirement. But I did spend about $3000+ for the flights, visa, and shopping money😅
@@Marie_isacutie i’ve heard many stories about foreigners living in China and having to deal with problems like small apartments? Maybe it’s a different area
It was great! I honestly didn’t get much attention, I’m sure it was because I was in Shanghai which is more common for foreigners to be:) I experienced no racism and the native Chinese people were very kind to me😊
Hii, if you don’t mind me asking which uni is this? I am planning to apply to Fudan but i’m not too sure yet bc of all the complications I’ve read/heard abt studying in china :
I studied at Donghua University in Shanghai. Yes, there are more steps to applying to uni in China but, the application process isn’t as complicated as you think or may have heard. The international student faculty of the university gives you all the steps and everything you need to be get your visa (if you need one) and to be able to comfortably study there. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions and email back and forth with the faculty, if needed. Do it!!! You will never regret it ☺️☝🏾
Can you please give me a little run down on vlogging on a phone and what you use or what equipment is required to upload or if you have two phones , one for vlogging and one for personal. I started but I just don’t like them
