Hi, the two courses are different, computer engineering is in my opinion more difficult , if you passionate about building things then choose it, business computing is same as information systems which is focusing on topics like systems analysis, project management, it’s more theory based and it’s easier. Hi brother. My son is currently in gr 12. He is doing CAT EN HE LIKES IT A LOT. SO HE WANTS TO DO COMPUTURE SCIENCE BUT HE SIAD HE PREFERRED A DIPLOMA. SP NOW ONLY TUT WHICH OFFER. KINDLY ADVICE HIM. HE EVEN SAID ICT IN APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT OR ICT NETWORKING

Hi@@sylviadikeledi3789, if your son is interested only in programming then thats fine, but if they would like to explore more tech careers then a bachelors is a good option it doesnt stricly focus on only programming but exposes one to various tech careers. For instance if your son chooses a major in computer science, then they can also choose another major in Infos which will expose him on the business side of programming, Busines analytics, Systems engineer and more. I think most universities are open for applications, there a lot of great universities, UJ, UP, UWC, UCT , WITS .... Also they should apply for bursaries...

Hei but i like your suggestion wen u said computer science its hard on maths. He is not good for maths. FOR ENGINEERING AAA I KNW HIM. TERTIARY ITS TOTALY DIFFERENT THAN HIGH SCHOOL. 😂😂But i think he will go for ICT, or BCOM information system
