Hello there, I’m Theo and this is my love nest. Would you like to study diagnostic radiography at UJ? Here’s all you need to know Please like, share, comment and subscribe.
Hey Theo! Thanks for the videos, they were incredibly informative about radiography and it's relatives; and I just wanted to be incredibly specific so that you as well knew the intensive amount of value you have granted everyone who's watched your videos on this subject;-) But I wanted to ask if you could like send me a Draft of some sort or points if a Draft is too much work on how the motivational letter can or should be written. I would really appreciate it a lot for I'm not good at or in writing essays. I would really appreciate your marvelous help. Anyways thanks for taking the time to read this message and have a blessed day and don't forget to share to yourself of what your greatful for★
Thank you so much. This really means a lot. I’m glad the videos are helpful. You can DM me on Instagram and I’ll give you the pointers for your motivational letter
Hi Theo, thank you for the videos they were very much helpful. So i already applied at uj for Radiography (Radiation Therapy)but i would like to change it to Diagnostic since there are no hospitals in my area offering such and also may you please offer tips on how to write a motivational letter 😊
So let get this straight 1. After I get my conditional accepted letter, i have to spend 3days at a hospital of my choice 2.after the 3days I have to apply to a training hospital from the list given to me by uj then the interview...
Awesome video 😊 Can you also please make a video about the salaries of radiographers ,if you don’t mind. And also what opportunities you can have access to if you do your Masters in radiography.
I’m glad you loved the video 😊😊 Obtaining a master’s degree can allow you to work in an academic field (be a lecturer) or be a researcher. Salaries vary depending on experience, the place you work at (whether it’s private or public, urban or rural) and your knowledge of specialised imaging also plays a role in how much you get.
@@theodamari Thank you so much , I noticed that we have a lot in common 😂😂maybe I’m a Minnie you ,I’m doing my first year in Radiography and my clinical practice is at CMJAH😊
So there's no stipend in public hospital? Y'all start wearing scrubs from 1st year and also practice at the hospital in your first year? In a scale of 1 to 10 how hard is Radiography
I’d advise you apply as soon as possible because the hospitals get full. You can do the applications via email or post, you don’t necessarily have to be present in person
hey Theo .thank you for the videos they were really helpful . so what's happens when you applying for training and your Grade 12 third term results are not "good" ? or don't meet the minimum requirements?
Hey Theo I applied for Radiographer as my second choice but now after seeing your video I am inspired... so how do I raise my chances of being picked for Radiography since I am already at a disadvantage being that I chose it as my 2nd preference
Hey Theo! Hope uh doing good...... I'm a South African National and currently living abroad .....just completed my high school degree ...... will UJ accept me nw ???? As a late applicant ??? Are there any chances ? Will be patiently waiting for ur reply!
Hey, ultrasound student in take was always a lesser number from first year. I don’t really know the reason behind it. And when we eventually got to final year, some had changed courses
Hey I currently applied to uj for diagnostic radiography from another degree. Now my status is stating “referred to faculty” i really don’t know what to do because I feel like time is running out. I haven’t received an email stating the list of hospitals to apply to. Any advice on what can I do at the moment. Thank you in advance ❤
Just complete your observations at a hospital near you, then after those forms are signed start applying to the training centre hospitals in Johannesburg via email, you don't need to go to Johannesburg necessarily.
Hey Theo can you assist me on how do I draft my email and supporting documents for the training centre application as UJ has sent me a letter of conditionally acceptance
Hello Theo, not sure if you will see this but I have a question: Is the interview a mandatory thing in every hospital or just some? And if mandatory will I have to travel a long way just for it? Your video was most helpful currently 🙏 ❤️
Hey. Interviews are mandatory in all hospitals. Some prefer you have the interview in person but you can always request to have it virtually. I’m guessing there might be such platforms, I’m not certain about that though
Hi Theo. Thank you for your content. I am interested in applying for the course at UJ. And time is running out but i want to be so sure. My questions are: 1)what are the working hours? as im a mom of three. Need to figure a way around that.
Hey. You’ll work 8 hours a day and how the hours are broken down depends on where you work. It could be 7-4 or 10- 6 or 11-7, it depends on how the roaster is done in that particular hospital. You might have to work weekends and night shifts and holidays here and there.
Heyyy Theo 💓💓 I am stressed now because I haven't received any list of hospitals and I haven't done any observation. How do I submit my observations to uj ?
Thank you so much for the informative videos. However I am still a bit confused, I got a response for something called 'Orange Carpet Admittance' but no correspondence regarding the hospital training thingy. Can I just go ahead and start looking for a hospital without correspondence from the university that I need to?
Hey, yes. U can start looking for a hospital. But the university has already accepted you based on your current results. They will communicate with you further
So last year I applied then ke I Was provisional accepted by the University but I Didn't do this hospital 3days thing. But I'm doing Analytical Chemistry..I'm thinking of re applying for radiographer again so what must I do to get the hospital for that 3 days things....
Yeah, and if there’s modalities/ specialities that your hospital doesn’t have, they arrange with other hospitals for you to go and spend time in that hospital so you can get an idea of how the modalities work
When you send in your application for hospital placement, should you include your provisionally selected letter as well? I was studying Biotechnology and I deregistered. Now I applied for diagnostic Radiography and my application has been referred to the faculty so it's really stressing me out because I feel like time is running out.
Hey Theo🥰 I really loved your video and also an applicant at UJ for the academic year 2022 , I did receive the training centre's so my question is that when applying for placement at a hospital, do I apply using the email or I should make a phone call instead? Will be patiently waiting for your reply🙂
Hi, thanks for this video, it’s super helpful. You’ve mentioned that with a private hospital you get a stipend, don’t you also get a stipend at a public hospital?
Goodness sake why did i see this video so late😥💔💔but anyways...Hi Theo, so i have applied for radiography(Nuclear Medicine)and i am given a conditionally acceptance, the thing is im in KZN, my Question is ,,is it really important to do the observation in one of the Johannesburg Hospitals?
No you don't necessarily need to complete your observations in JHB. So just do the observations at a nearby hospital close by, then get your forms signed. After that's completed apply to the hospital training centers in Johannesburg.
Hey love this video! I have a question does UJ allow you to change courses after first year for example if I’m studying Biokinetics can I change by my second year to do Radiography?
hey theo...i have applied for radiography at uj but currently studying at another institution , i have done the shadowing at this hospital,,,where should i post my proof and the hospital that i should find myself..must it be next to uj?
hey Theo I'm currently a UJ student but I don't like what I'm currently studying,I wanted to ask if they still would want me to do hospital training this year?
If you want to study radiography next year, you’d have to find a hospital for training NEXT YEAR while you study. You’ll only be expected to do observations this year.
Hey thank you for the 2 videos I live in Lesotho,do you know what happens if I'm an international student who hasn't done observation at a hospital before applying, can I still get accepted?
Hi Theo, Great work on these videos. I heard someone saying something about funding from department of health my question is how does one apply for this bursary. where do we get application forms? thanks.
Yes , just to have specifics of everything. Also would it be ok if I send you a message on Instagram because the application process is a little confusing
Hey Theo👋 I really liked you video and I think I can use some help from you. I applied for Diagnostic Radiography for 2023 but I don't know how to apply for a training, so I was kindly asking if I have to apply training via email or elsewhere?
Hi. You first have to contact the hospital to find out their preferred method of application but it’s usually via email. You can watch the FAQ video I uploaded recently, I explained it there.🤗
Hey Theo, I just watched the video and I have a lot of questions but I really what to know if there's a specific due date for one to do the visits to the hospital after you've received the email?
Greetings Theo, I am being conditionally accepted at UJ for doing my degree in diagnostics radiography switching from Civil Engineering degree and I sort of haven't received the list from UJ of the hospitals they are in partnership with so what do I do? Any advice will help. thank you for your time and please do assist me where you can I will be happy if you do.
hi, am from namibia and I have been recently provisionally admitted for ultrasound at UJ. I have already gotten an accredited hospital for my observation here in my home country and now am struggling on how to go about securing a position in a clinical training centre over there while i am over here in Namibia. do u perhaps have any suggestions for me?
Hey Theo , I'm watching this video now , I don't meet the minimum requirements and I'm to be reconsidered after my finals , but they didn't send a list for the hospital , what if I'm accepted next year what will happen,
They give a fixed amount of money to every student they fund and it’s up to you how you utilise the money. Also it differs per province but the money should cover tuition, accommodation, books and meals
Hey.. I'm in Lesotho and have applied to do AS (Advanced Subsidiary) and I have to choose between physics and biology 😟..which one do you recommend I choose?
Hi Theo I it unfortunate that I got to see this video this late but then it okay So let say I was doing this other course than next year I'm willing to change to radiography ,my question is when you apply at UJ for this course do I need to use your matric result only or the result for the previous course that I was doing before deregistering will be required as well ?
You can only use your matric results, but if you want to include results from your current course, there’s an option to indicate that you’ve studied something else before when you apply.
@@theodamari Hi Theo still now I am unable to apply for this course I tried that link that you sent me but still can you please help me or get me someone to help me apply before it closes
For diagnostic radiography Anatomy Physiology Physics Diagnostic practice Diagnostic clinical practice Imagining technology Hopefully I didn’t leave out any
Usually UJ will decline your application because you need to have a training center but you can give hospitals a visit to find out if they have space cause some students change their minds about radiography. I’d advise you to go in person cause at this point they have already done interviews and chosen students
You can get the forms online or from a tertiary public hospital near you, then post them to the department of health. Check their website www.zabursaries.co.za/government-bursaries-south-africa/gauteng-department-of-health-bursary/
Hey theo, when you go for observations do you have to contact the institution beforehand or do you just get there and tell them what you're there to do on the spot? And what dress code recommendation would you recommend?
Hey, you can contact them beforehand, just so they are also expecting you. But it’s no train smash. Wear long pants and comfortable shoes that cover your toes. It doesn’t have to be formal but avoid torn jeans and sleeveless tops.
Hello Theo , Uhm I am conditionally selected so they did send the list of hospitals but my question is since I am in Port Elizabeth now is it a must to attend / to observe in a UJ hospitals? or I can observe where I am? Please please answer.
Hey, you can observe wherever you are, but make sure you contact a few hospitals on that list to APPLY FOR TRAINING next year. UJ will not fully admit you if you don’t have a training centre to do your practicals at.
@@theodamari Thank you so much.. Problem this year I'm doing the course that I was never interested in doing it💔so I applied for Radiography at UJ now my status remains as conditionally admitted ❤️so they haven't sent me the list of hospitals.. I'm really stressed because I love Radiography and I'm not around Gauteng that's another thing 😭
Hey , if you already completed your matric and got conditionally admitted and got accepted at a training centre and also signed the contract, does that mean youll get automatically accepted by uj next year?
@@elizabethndlovu230 Hey , I applied on the 31st of August then got some responses after a few days but some of them were basically rejecting me telling me that they already selected their candidates and then some were telling me to wait till end of October/November for an outcome of the application. Some still haven't replied till today. But I got some responses after weeks even a month.
