Varies from university to university and subject to subject. Usually exams in europe test your conceptual knowledge. In contrast, in Asia we have a test of Memory in exams. If you understand a subject, then it is very easy to pass it in europe regardless of country or university

I dont think there will be any problem. Your father name is not that relevant to your application. But you should confirm it from the embassy via email.
