I decided to switch up my Japanese study routine a bit and use Haikyuu as a study resource (in addition to what I already use). Although the way characters speak in anime/manga isn't always used irl, I think it's a fun way to stay actively engaged in your target language and pick up commonly used vocab words/phrases that you wouldn't otherwise find in a textbook! For anyone who wants to watch something light and motivational, I highly recommend Haikyuu. :') The message on teamwork is really inspiring and I love all the characters. Also the music is great. Haha anyways I hope this motivates anyone studying a 2nd language to keep working hard towards your goals!

Omg I loved this!! What a fun way to get a lot of depth out of your immersion - I love how you incorporated both input and output during this week. I try to use immersing in content as my main source of learning anyway, but you're inspiring me to try theming a week like this! Also totally feel you on running out of energy after work. I have to continue to try to incorporate Japanese throughout the work day, I just feel so guilty haha (even though I'll often end up neither working nor doing Japanese during the workday)

Yes yes the themed weeks are so fun :') And I 100% feel that! After work my brain is mush so it's really hard to study so I try to make sure I listen to a podcast or read a news article before/during work hours!
