Darrell Waltrip retires from NASCAR after having been a driver and broadcaster since 1972. This video is funnier clips from the 2004 DVD from NASCAR Images.
As happy as I am to see former drivers like Jeff Gordon, Dale Jr and his brother Mikie take over, I miss D.W. up in the booth. There was just a natural magic about his commentary. Boogity, Boogity, Boogity!
"I'm French, but for me, Darrell Waltrip has always been my favorite driver and will always be my favorite driver. I love this guy, I love his cartoonish personality, he's a completely funny he remind me a animated character. I like this guy. wait wait wait .... this is that this is daytona 500 ? wooooooooooo !!! boogedy boogedy boogedy boogedy
The funny part was I really don’t think the nascar kids payed a lot of attention to the racing other than Dale Jr…her friend was holding a 🏈…as in this is boring lets go run circles around the boys on the makeshift gridiron…not surprised she didn’t know he was
There will never be a problem getting DW to talk.... It's getting him to shut up is the problem. The guys nickname isn't Jaws for no reason. Sorry DW. You asked for it..
ddint realize he won 84 races......... sadly by time i got into nascar he was last 10 seasons and def not the same guy. other than bristol and darlington he seemed subpar most time. really like him as an announcer. now gordon doing great too.
DW in the booth is a major part of why I quit watching. Larry Mc is the other part. Actually I remember the day; it was when Kenny Wallace said, "These car of tomorrows are way more gooder in the turns..."
