Now I will teach you a very delicious recipe called in my country, Iraq, as (Madgougha). First, we put the dates as the main ingredient in the recipe, add any kind of nuts to it as desired, put cardamom and black seeds, then grind them with a pestle or anything to crush them, and finally make them in the form of balls, and then cover them completely with sesame It is really delicious and is often eaten during Ramadan along with yogurt ♥️👌 I'm From Iraq 🇮🇶
Some are sweeter some are harder etc, you should definitely try the halway ones (I think that’s how they’re written) they’re very sweet and good! I actually never knew they have different names, but I can tell them by the looks!
Each has its own unique taste, they're all dates but you know like mangoes, there are tens of types and each tastes different, but they're all good at the end ♥️
I’m from arabia there’s 40 kinds of dates ( probably more ) some of them have their seasons, they’re all good tasting dates but different in taste and texture, all of the ones showed in the short are good quality dates 👍🏼
As a moroccan , in almost every celebration in our culture (especially weddings) we always make these stuffed dates and serve them to the guests with some milk , as well as the groom and the bride !its my fav snack so far ~w~
Arizona grows great dates! You can even get a date milkshake. We used to stuff them with cream or goat cheese, add a pecan, then roll them in powdered sugar. That was grandpa's favorite treat!
@@FarhanKhan-xm3zf her comment section is ON... how do you suppose you made THIS comment ?! 😆 🤣 😂 izz yuuu Kwazzee ?? We are commenting right now so how is it the comments are turned off ????
Piink blxssom! Thank you. I love your RU-vid name of Plink blxssom. I'm going to try your suggestion, cream cheese and walnuts. In this video, she used to much chocolate. I feel like I have a toothache after watching this, lol.
It’s nice to see a variety of dates for once on social media, in my country we have a lot of varieties of dates, i always feel like the rest of the world should also know and try, on social media i only see people eat the dark long bitter dates idk what they are called and I don’t like them, but we have so much variety of sweet and fresh dates that the world should also know
I also do mini snack which I leaned in Italy - simply cut a date, take out the bone, add mascarpone to the halve and half of walnut on top. Keep those slides on plate covered with film in the fridge and serve with coffee when needed. My friend makes like you - puts nut inside, closes and then immerses into hot chocolate and let’s it dry. Serves like a chocolate (similar what they do in Dubai).
I might be a rarity, but chocolate on dates just seems wrong. Generally speaking, dates are already one of the sweetest fruits, and I feel that they should only be paired with things that enhance their flavour, rather than compete with it. Still, I love the idea of different types of dates and nuts on a grazing board. ❤
Thank you for showing the box. When I lived in CA there was a grower that sold all kinds of dates at the farmers market. I miss them so much! I'm going to order these when they are available.
I have a whole bag of leftover dates from a charcuterie breakfast board I did…I stuffed some with peanut butter and dipped in chocolate and sprinkled flake salt over them so yummy tastes just like a snicker! But now I’m going to make some of these ones also!! Yum!
This is a traditional sweet in my country Algeria, we make stuffed dates in every occasion, the original recipe is made with our Algerian dates called deglet nour , then stuffed with almond dough then topped with a variety of nuts , we make huge contities of this and we serve them in a Mountain shape in weddings or any other celebrations , and of course we make them in Ramadan and normal days
Whenever I feel lazy to eat dates and nuts I do like this but I don't garnish with chocolate 🍫 cause I don't have a stock always it looks so delicious 😋
Loved it. My dream tray, watching some movie with coffee and this… 🙌🏾❤️ On my next trip I will bring back the soft dates from Middle East, it’s not available in Canada.
Highly recommend trying goat cheese! One of the best date recipes I’ve ever tried was a goat cheese stuffed date wrapped in bacon and grilled. It was a great sweet/salty/tangy combo
You should try almond butter stuffed dates, dipped or covered in chocolate with coconut flakes and pomegranate seeds. Also, you might like apricots stuffed with lightly sweetened whipped cream and crushed pistachios. What else is good… Melt 2 ounces melted dark chocolate mixed with pomegranate seeds and spooned into a cookie sheet. Great with dry blueberries or cranberries instead too. I only know medejool dates or sunsweet dates. That’s a nice variety package. Happy holidays 🎄💕 Me
