James the plane looks like a Cessna L19 "Bird Dog". It was a US military liaison and observation aircraft. They were used for observing ground forces, artillery spotting etc. You are correct about use in Vietnam. They made a lot of them and they ended up in quite a few countries over the years including the Thai Air Force. I wonder how it got there though!

Really nice townhouse. Are all the interior doors made of solid teak. When I built my teak house 20 years ago, I asked the builder to put one urinal in the master bedroom. He put one in each of the 3 bathrooms. At least, they are manual. I don’t live in a moo ban My house sits on 1 rai and has plenty of landscaping and a nice koi pond area. The teak has to be treated once a month to prevent termite damage and the landscaping and maintenance takes some work but is worth it. The house sits between Chiangmai and San Kamphaine, on a dead end road, so it is fairly secure and not much traffic or dog noise. The house is in my wife’s name but I have a lease on the land. So, if we ever got a divorce, I would have time to dismantle the house and sell the teak for far more than I paid for it (when the baht was 45 to 1). After 20 years, I don’t think that I have to worry about divorce

A great looking townhouse to be sure. And I like the idea of central air, instead of a unit in each room. As for the restaurant…that looked great as well. Watching your video from Makati as I finish up my vacation. I really do think I need to have a look at Thailand before I settle completely on the Philippines as my retirement destination. The place has a bunch of ideas implemented we’ve been thinking about for a townhouse in Bangkok, funnily enough. Internal courtyard for light and breezeway, and few rooms as su h, mainly open spaces, but with the small land plot sizes for the average townhouse in BKK, it’s not hard to have a 4/5 story townhouse with one room or function per floor.

For the location and also considering the recent housing price boom, I'd say this townhouse is very good value.

Nice to see your good and I am a bit envious that I just came back from a month in Thailand and have been house searching around Udon Thani area and I simply cannot find anything that is that style you just shoved here... Everything I found was either alot more expensive than this one and not this style that I like, or it was just bad quality built and in bad locations ... But the biggest issue was that everything I looked at had absolutely zero attatched land to it... For an european that likes to spend time out in the garden, then it seems extremely hard to find anything that is on the market... Stay well, and cheers :)

Very beautiful and well finished James the only negative as stated was the toilet unless you are Dirk Diggler I like to keep my little bits hidden lol. Well done again I was hooked from start to finish.

I'm assuming townhouses are considered regular property and aren't just large condos which a foreigner might purchase. That being said, nice place. I was in Thailand in March seeing my girlfriend after 2 years. She lives in Trat and recently had land inheritance issues after her mother passed away. Has your wife or any Thai acquaintance have experience in inheritance property? Any way glad to see a new video 🙏

Saw one of your video as suggested by youtube and ended up watching so many already. The house is fantastic and the food looks really healthy. In Bangkok it has a restaurant chain that serves similar food called “Salad Factory”. It is my favorite, not sure if they have branches in upcountry. Be safe & take care!

When making a decision, include the burn season, 3 month of smoke every year you want to avoid be vacationing somewhere MUCH further south.

That town house was just brilliant.... something I want to live in. I am coming onto retirement. Would I be able to purchase this as I want to get out of Australia, as it is too expensive now? Was the restaurant called Ohkaju? Unfortunately you trimmed the edit, and you might have lost a shot showing, say, the signage and maybe the shop front for recognition value. Just saying.

They build cheap in the villages. Use low quality materials. Look beautiful when it is just build.Just be aware people who want go live here in Thailand. Not only see it cheap. ;-);-)
