If you're having trouble with the core rotation expression - I was using a much wider main comp, that "960" in the first line is half the distance of your comp width. You may need to adjust. The expression wasn't working for me then I noticed that number and experimented. Working now.

Amazing tutorial with brilliant results. I have one problem though. when I enable 3d for the centre glow it sort of cuts with the swirl... I don't know how to fix it, please help.

I had to give up when the Stardust Effects came into play. I kept getting the error: After Effects error: internal verification failure, sorry! {Effect is I_MIX_GUID_DEPENDENCIES but did not call the GuildMixIn callback in prerender} This took me like 3 hours to not be able to finish

at 10 45 the core us not acting well u did not told that u changed the mode of swirl layer to screen mode... i wasted a lot of time noticing that .. thanks for the tutorial bro

How do I open your project file? It goes to a link saying I can create my vision? Also right from the get go I tried the star effect and it looks like a regular geometry star. Not a line star like yours? How did you do that?

I know im SUPER late with this comment, but i cannot open the file seeing as though im running CS6. is there a way i could get the "downgraded" version of this file? or will i only be able to access it if i upgrade my AE?
Love the tutorial except for the fact you skip indications or changes. You often go way to fast and use so many bind keys without announcing it while you're doing it. You might feel bored while doing it but we need to see you click without having to rewind 10 times to make sure we saw you're actions. Thx
when you explain the Mask feather part ... your blazing fast i had to put the speed to .75 and still rewind 5 times to see the amount you put in. I had a question .... im copying the process 100% and for some reason before starting the core when creating the swirl .... my left and right star arms arent equal to you're version ....i checked if my resolution was the same and its 1280x 1280 also ... any idea?
Hey, if you want to copy everything %100 I made the project file available to download. You should be able to import that project into the one you are working on now. Just hit file > import and find the project file you can download from the description.
The thing is .... i kinda want to make it so i can learn to use the tools ;) copy and past it is kinda cheating hehe but thanks hehe. I also plan on converting it and making big changes so i can implement it into an image and make it swirl. Kinda like League of legends in menu animation. I wanna put an still image with the galaxy in the back swirling.... not sure what is the best way. Copy and add to it with more animation ... or use some kind of masking with layers. Can you guide me a bit hehe thx!
I have the stack of galaxy layers all slowly rotating. The problem is the Stardust layer only rotates for about ten seconds and then holds its position. Any idea why?
I'm trying to animate this and want to have it kinda spinning slowly but not sure how to keyframe it right since when I go to keyframe the camera movement to make it look like it's spinning in between the 1st and second keyframe it'll move super close to the camera then zoom out and go to where I set it to
