Starting from scratch, radio/electronics and all, it could easily run over $15k US. The smaller engines usually accelerate quicker, the ones used in this F-18 go all the way up to 152,000 rpm and uses two of the Jet Central Rabbit 100SE engines for a combined thrust of 48lbs.

@@IVHMSFSR Thank you so much for the eye opener. Now I have even more appreciation for what these gentlemen put together for their weekend follies. Years ago my mother sent me a video of a two stage RC reenactment of the famous Chuck Yeager sound breaking event - complete with the four prop B-29 with ki X-1 attached to the wing underneath. The Iron Horse took off and flew a couple passes to get to altitude at which point.the X-1 dropped from the wing. The X-1 then fired a smoke filled rocket engine and took off angling upward as it zoomed past the B-29. After the rocket burn the X-1 glided back down while the B-29 stayed aloft and did a few more passes, one coming across upside down, and one where you heard the plane was having problems and then heard eject! And two pilot figures were ejected from somewhere, I dont remember, but two came out the B-29 and parachuted to safety... It was an extraordinary well done stunt by two guys with remotes, and probably a team of guts helping to build and set things up. Just thought I'd share that with you for being so kind as to answer my question. Keep watching the skies, you never know what you will find up there besides Chemtrails.....

@@rnichol22 its not chem trails its called con trails. Its were the air gets sucked through the turbine and is heated up to 600 deg or more and is sent out the back of the turbine were the outside temp is much colder their for con trails. Even you have made your own con trails when its cold outside and you breath in air then exhale it back out then you see the white ☁. Same thing. So chem trails are from planes that spray farms or helos that spray any type of chemical for pest or in war far case chemicals that are ment to harm people. So no rc planes or reg planes you see everyday do not make chem trails. Just so you know.
