Insulation direct contact with basement wall? Been watching a lot of videos trying to figure out best technique and I thought you’d want plastic put up somewhere to make it sit tight? Just trying to learn to be able to do it myself and not rip it all out in 5 years for mold problems. Open to all concepts just asking. Thanks love the time lapse though great being able to see the steps through out. Good job
@@odellconstructioninc I put rubber coating on exterior of wall as well as two inch insulation board. French drain was also installed around perimeter. Home sits on top of a hill of almost nothing but sand so we never have standing water anywhere. Was. Going to do a plastic piece on wall and duct tape it there for a week see what happens is that what you mean by making sure it’s waterproofed?
@@nickm.1238 I'm sure that's what he means. Sounds like you did it right. My understanding is that you want a small "airway" between the wall and insulation for air/moisture to escape. Also, dimpled subfloor for the same reasons - moisture coming up can move through the floor and up the walls to dissipate.
