Add a wall 3/4 and barn door to enter into bedroom. That will make it private. Like the floor plan and colors,

I live the stone around the fireplace. I think you should put a curtain around the bed area so that it can be open or shut whenever you want. It could be like a shower curtain with nice curtains. If you want the light to shine through, use fabric sort of like a white bedsheet or thinner, like silk.

That's a great idea! I saw a RU-vid of a gal and her small NYC apartment and she had the same idea and it looked beautiful! So I can see that here. Although, I do also absolutely love it as is! I could and would in a heart beat live there comfortably, and happily no problem!!

Great for an overnight stay, just one, what appears to be a 2-3 ft wide closet, that a few coats could possible fit in. No storage for dresses, skirts, slacks, jewelry, belts, ties, suits, blouses, jackets, t shirts, shorts, yoga pants, shoes, purses, dog leashes, dog sweaters/coats, Yada Yada Yada. ( Even if people pared down, this needs way more storage, but is pretty to look at)

As the voice of experience who has lived the life....this should be about four feet wider to accommodate a full fridge/freezer (food storage to keep it fresh is a must) and also you need bigger (double) sinks if you do not have a dishwasher....ever try washing pots in those tiny sinks....it would make a saint swear. The rest is fine, but if you live in colder climates....insulation or your pipes WILL freeze. But the bigger fridge and bigger sinks is a MUST! Take it from the voice of experience.

I definitely agree about the refrigerator but I'd get an apartment size, they're tall and slimmer but accommodate more than enough food for one or two people for at least a week or more. A single large sink is better than double sinks in my opinion, but I'd still like a dishwasher, too. They're also available in smaller sizes, approximately 8 inches less in width than a standard dishwasher or use one of the drop in dishwashers that are often purchased in sets although a single one would be sufficient. I'd like to see something that blocks off the bed from the living room, a foldable door or curtain so someone could sleep while another person is in the living room area. It's a great vacation home for two people.

I have an extra large size butlers sink. Love it 😍 I use a bowl in the sink to do small washes and food prep as the sink uses way too much water for the small jobs. However when l have large platters that are too big to go in the dish washer, or pans that need to soak; it is brilliant.

That would definitely be the way to go if this were indeed a long term home. It is in fact, a rental, and most people don't cook or wash a lot of dishes on a weekend getaway. 😉

In the first full view of the main room from the foot of the downstairs bed separated by a barred rail, their is an ox-blood colored guest sign in book. So yes it looks to be rentable. That may be why they did not put in all the suggested features like central heating/air, a basement, etc.

@@ritaC345 😂an AC in the wall has always been a "funny" at my house. Hubby never would spend the money for central heat and air so we had AC's in the wall to. Now the house we have has central H&A that's old, so when it gives out will be interesting to see if wall units end up coming around again.

Nearly perfect. Did I miss the washer/dryer? And was that a hot tub on the side porch? If not. I'd turn the bathroom tub/shower to a shower stall, put in a stackable washer/dryer and go ahead with the little hot tub on the side porch. I see it has a cellar. That's good. Otherwise, I'd also put in more shelves for my home canned garden bounty and a chest freezer under the counter somewhere too. A little fridge is fine. Do that and I could retire there.

.....I was also wondering about the washer and dryer. And, why does it look like a Story and a half (?)..... I like the front porch, but I would have thought making the lounge ( aka living room area ) a bit bigger would have been nice.
