Randy Borcherding successfully rekindles your desires for a once-beloved American icon-the Ford Ranchero. Taking its rightful position in the Top 12 at the 2020 SEMA Battle of the Builders competition, this 1971 pickup-car is as clean as they come.
The stunning, custom-mixed Maroondy Pearl finish is the first thing you notice. It’s complemented by the matte charcoal strip on the hood. A custom billet grille “hides” the headlights and the bumper has been meticulously shortened, narrowed and tucked. Flanking the tonneau cover in the rear are custom acrylic tail light lenses over LED light strips.
Beneath the hood is a 351 Cleveland that was bored out to 408 CI. It also houses a custom dual air intake and a performance cam. Up front, the stock suspension was swapped out for Mustang II coil-overs. Schott Accelerator d.concave wheels, Michelin tires and Wilwood disc brakes finish off all four corners
Stitch by Stitch Custom Designs painstakingly created the custom leather interior. Additional upgrades within the cab include Dakota digital gauges, a Lokar shifter and an Alpine audio system.
