On an Iceland trip in July, starting in Reykjavik, we filmed the fantastic landscape and views passing us by for a few days. Everything is shot on a handheld iPhone 6.
Some of the locations visited:
Vatnajokull Glacier
The hidden nature pool Seljavallalaug
Black beach in Vik
Waterfalls: Skogafoss, Gullfoss and Seljalandsfoss.
Blue Lagoon

Thanks man, yea just an iPhone 6 and I used the filmic pro app to lock the exposure, focus and white balance.

Great work, super impressive considering it's on an iPhone! What does your color grading process look like? I couldn't even get this kind of cinematic look with a 7D.

Thanks! I haven't done any fancy color grading, just used RGB curves in premiere. Usually just the master, pull down the blacks a bit and increase highlights. Sort of like a tiny "S-shape". Then brightness/contrast, add a bit of saturation and that's about it!

Again a short question :D On sunday, we are traveling to Iceland. We have an action camera similar to a GoPro 3. Do you think it's better filming with 1080p (60FPS) or 2k (30FPS)? I thought I will be filming with 1080p60FPS because of the smooth which I can get because of that. What do you think?

Awesome, hope you have a great trip! Well you could always vary between the two depending on what type of shot you are getting. But if you wanna pick one, I'd probably go for the 60 fps because as you can tell I quite like the slowmo and easier to stabilize in post. I'd guess the image quality probably doesn't differ that much between 1080 and 2k anyways.

This song, this scenes, really good cinematic look. Very great!!! But you can see that the picture quality of the iphone6 is not as good as a real camera. But anyway, great editing!

Yea it's too bad I didn't have a real camera. I actually bought a Sony A6300 today, records really great 4k footage for a $1200 camera. Will try it out for my next video, subscribe if you wanna see it. Cheers!
