Welcome to Greece. Wish you have a great time. I want to let you know some details of how we do some things in our houses here in Greece. 1. We don't hang our televisions unless the space is tight. If there is a fireplace the TV is usually placed next to it so you can watch TV and enjoy the fire at the same time. 2.Our electrical panels here are covered with clear plexy glass and are usually instaled in hallways and sometimes are hiden in cupboards. At my house the panel is in the hallway so I created an art wall to hide it and now it's under a piece of art. There is always the option of painting it. 3. The shades are under a feature that in the past it was common to use and was hidding the curtain rail. We call it κουρτινόξυλο (koortinoxilo) meening the curtain wood. Enjoy!!!
This house is INCREDIBLE!!! I am obsessed with that first taupe and matte black bathroom. That matte black vessel sink is gorgeous l. I want that for my master bath. I’ve been struggling to figure out exactly what I want and THAT IS IT!!!!!
This home is absolutely beautiful! Thank you, Valentina, for taking the time to give us a full tour of this fabulous home! I love all of the wood they used in the kitchen and the bathrooms. It is amazing! I also love the wood tone of the dining room table! That taupe and black in the first full bath you showed us was so gorgeous! I love beige and taupe color tones. They are relaxing. I am certain you and your family will have a fantastic time in this home! Again, thank you for taking us on a tour of the home. Enjoy your vacation!
OMG…this is my favorite place have you stayed so far! I love the bedrooms. They are more hotel like, but I like that for a rental. I agree with mounting the TV in the main room. As for the plexiglass electric, they might have done that so renters could easily locate the tech if needed. The principal closet is everything!
For me its a bit too clean, the main area lacks personality, except for the bathrooms. The wallpaper is great. They do open storage in hotels because of the bedbug situation.
I loved the all-season down blankets in Europe and have tried to find some in the US. They were used as a blanket and bed cover, with no top sheet. The ones in this video look very similar. Any suggestions on where to find one?
That's so true. After living in Europe for over 10 years none of our kids will use top sheets. They said it feels strange to have another layer on while they sleep.
Gorgeous! Valentina, just watching this makes me relax. I can only imagine what actually being there will do for your family. I agree with you about the woodgrain features. I'm a nature girl. I wouldn't paint beautiful wood, just like I wouldn't paint marble. Creation always ourshines anything we can do. Thanks for sharing with us. We appreciate your work, but don't want you to spend any more time than you have to doing it. Have a great time!
Just started watching this video and am excited to see your recommendations on Crete!! I recently started planning a trip to Athens, Crete, and other islands to celebrate my 60th birthday.❤
@@HouseofValentina I would really like to go to the mountains in Argentina. My son dreams of diving in Australia. And my daughter wants to visit Japan. We hope to take these trips before they are off to college -maybe as high school graduation gifts.
Beautiful! Felt my cortisol levels drop just watching this 😄 My bags are packed 👍🏼 The music was perfect too, could you please say the artist/song? Thanks!
Fave is the way they hide the curtqins in the living room, surprised you did not mention that! So beautiful.. and I don't understand how they do that😮😢😊
Thank you Jack!!!! Awesome job on the camera work. The shots are perfect and your timing is bang on. You give us enough time to see every detail and you nailed it with the small points of interest. LOVE watching the two of you together Yes I actually like the panel with the clear cover, almost looks like artwork. Electrical panels are necessary and it always looks like you're trying to hide it. Instead of hanging artwork over it, make it artwork lol. It's actually a cool looking panel. I personally love this home beyond words. Inside and out it is breathtaking. I used to live in a home with the dormers that hid the blinds. My mother hated it, horrible to clean and it was a great place for spiders lol I love the pocket door on the main floor because you don't have to look at the bathroom from the dining table.
When I see that textured tile on the couple of showers that had it, I think of more work cleaning it. I've seen several installs of the remote control pergolas. Very nice.
I honestly agree with you. I love the concept of the wallpaper for a feature wall but I definitely would have chosen something different for the spaces.
L'm not into wallpaper in general however because it's rooms where there is no decor, ot paintings ect. I actually like they chose something wild as it is the art in the room
Elegant indeed! Favorite features ...use of Lighting especially in bookshelves/closets. Kitchen Formica & Hood design also impressive! Less a fan of Vessel Sinks & wooden vanity countertops. Sliding shower doors are attractive but the required metal top rail could be restrictive for taller users in some applications.
Hi Valentina. Can you tell what is the town in FLORIDA that you as family would vacation? I want to go there later this summer but do not remember the name…
The city is called Alys Beach. It's in an area called 30A and we've stayed in multiple locations starting at Rosemary Beach and heading West along the coast.
Welcome to my home island! Finally! The house is 🤯Can you please find out where the dining room chairs are from? Can you ask the owners? I’m dying to buy them and I can’t find them anywhere!
Best tour video that you have made yet! Your dialogue about the home is on point and of course the home is absolutely stunning. Great pick for a place to stay on your newest location in Greece.
