Requirements:
ENB Binaries version 0.481 or newer by Boris Vorontsov

In the enbseries.ini file make sure to enable all complex parallax parameters in the [EFFECT] section as below:
EnableComplexParallax=true
EnableTerrainBlending=true
EnableComplexParallaxShadows=true
EnableComplexTerrainParallax=true
EnableComplexTerrainParallaxShadows=true
If they are not there add them. Also disable (false) normal terrain parallax i.e. EnableTerrainParallax=false
And remember to delete your ENB cache folder

Hey there, hope you are reading this! First off thanks for all the great information "but" :D there is one detail missing which took me an hour to figure out -> delete the stuff in the "ENB Cache" Folder. (Some parallax effects worked but I didnt get the Snow working without) Please add it to description so people who read it there dont have to search like I did xD

Yeah I just now bumped into Parallax mods in nexus, adding them now to my on going mod list. Skyrim will be lit for another 10 years I am sure! BTW do you have any recommendation regarding ENB and reshade to bring out a Hyborian or a similar look to the game.I am planning on using Obsidian Weathers and LUX+ .Thank you in advance !

Since you covered my EEOS mod I am a subscriber of yours,and thank you for covering it again and again in some of your combat videos 😁 Your combat animations look crisp,very good setup! I think Skyrim Modding will reach its peak within the next 2 years,and there is still lots of exciting stuff to come! RTX Remix being probably the most exciting thing, as it will be able to inject true raytracing, DLSS 3, Nvidia Reflex and enhanced textures🔥 Then we will have more mod authors doing parallax texture mods,and as we currently see,animations also get a lot better with each new release. I wouldnt be surprised if Skyrim,in 2 years from now on really looks like a current gen game again

Didn't you get some weird warping with the snow mod near mountains from majestic mountains? I've tried them (with all parallax enabled) and was getting immersion breakings seams and warping at some specific places

Love your videos! Building my new mod list based off of your full list of vids, amazing stuff. Gotta ask though.... Should I drop Skyrim 3D landscapes and/or 3D rocks you put up in your graphic overhaul vids in favor of the Vivid/SRP ones for full effect, of can I lay them on top of each other?

I’ve downloaded all of these. Can’t use Auto parallax due to it crashing game in some areas around Skyrim for example around Tundra homestead Battleborn farm area. And you need Shader for parallax and it won’t work for 1.6.640 versions. Love parallax as it does add a ton of dimension to structures. Just wish I could use the snow ones as it looks like a hard shell plastic without the shaders.

Thanks for this guide. I've been trying to get the parallax snow effects from Vivid Landscapes - Complex Parallax Occlusion Snow. But I have failed despite installing everything apart from an ENB preset. It is my understanding that you can get the parallax effect without an ENB preset installed as long as you have the basic 0.481+ ENB series files installed and do all the other things you say. Anyway, my Vivid Landscapes snow looked flat, shiny and like ice before and after doing all these steps rather than the crisp 3d snow from the mod's screenshots. I have no idea what I am doing wrong.

Did you also install the occlusion mapping mod and auto parallax? Otherwise you can try it without an ENB and all the other mods. Instead use the vanilla POM mod

Parallax is incredible! I tried to use one parallax mod before, but unfortunately ran into some performance problems (Which is weird since I have a 3070). Now, after watching your video, I realized that it was probably due to the mod itself! 😅 I'll try again with these mods and see if it gets better!

There are ways I could imagine doing it. On rocks and trees i think its more or less a thing main issue I could see is mountains since textures are often stretched. Then again im not a mod dev.

i have no clue what it is but i use the same enb and weather mod as you, berserker enb and NAT, but my game literally never looks like your game and even the screen shots on the nexus page. I have a rtx 3080 and for some reason i still get frame drops alongside the light not looking correctly. Some places look more dark then others and there is no consistent light like in your videos. Also things dont look properly shaded and they look de-saturated. i dont know if there are any mods that are incompatible but it is very disappointing that i can literally never get my game to look like this even with all the requirements and setup.

anyone else who got "spike like" textures on the ground while trying this. for reference i am a experienced modder, i installed all the requirements, but i can't figure this one out. i use the pi cho enb and the latest version for enb series. also im on patch 1.5.97 (non aniversary) edit: solved. if anyone has the same problem try the following things: - double check if there is not an enbseries.ini in your enbseries folder (there can be 2 ini's. both need these lines) - when adjusting enbseries lines. remove the enbcache folder in your skyrim root folder. this way it will load in the new enbseries settings instead of the cached one. - double check if you have all the parallex option on except the EnableTerrainParallax, that should be off. hope it helps a person or 2

I don't know if anyone can help me or if this is a common problem - I'm trying to use snow / terrain parallax effects, though if i enable EnableComplexTerrainParallax=true, the textures work, though I also then get unwanted warping of other terrain textures. At the moment it feels like I need to choose between turning it off and having flat terrain or turning it on with warped textures and certain terrain working. I am using 202x, and have auto parallax installed an enabled.

How much performance does this eat up? I'm already eeking out as much as I can from my potato of a computer, I imagine this would just cause it to burst into flames and start a Latin chorus of some kind as a Eldritch deity spawns from the wreckage taking advantage of my foolishness.

I did finish your video and saw what you said. Still curious if my potato could do any of this. Some of the medium tree mods cause my character to stutter around as if someone cast a time stop on them. I still hear the Latin chorus in the background as some Eldritch monster is wringing its hands in gleeful anticipation of my attempt at using this.

Alright, I finally got this son of a bitch to work. For those of you having issues with the parallax textures appearing flat as Emma Watsons chest, here are some tips. First off, check you enb complex parallax settings IN GAME using shift + enter. Make sure they are enabled. If some of the settings aren't enabled, then chances are you have multiple enbseries.ini files. You'll need to locate all of them by searching your hard drive for "enbseries.ini", and then change the settings in each one. Make sure they are all spelled correctly too. My issues was the the = sign had somehow gotten deleted in conplexterrainparallax = true. If you are using enb organizer, you will have two enberseries.ini files in the enb organizer folder, as well as one in your Skyrim SE game directory. ALL OF THESE NEED TO HAVE THE CONPLEX PARALLAX SETTINGS CHANGED. Also, be sure to delete the enbcache folder in your skyrim SE directory any time you make changes to the ini files. Hopefully this helps someone because boy was this a pain in the ass to debug
