I remember some while ago, the concern was that most people opt for the money instead of the actual land and that caused communities to remain poor and landless. I think that the decline was caused by that because there was the discussions on expropriation.

It's about time most people to listen to the truth not to act against the person who was doing his job. Be honest, when land get expropriated and distributed to the people, they don't farm it and it does not produce food anymore. Then they sell it and go and live in a squattercamp. In my opinion, give land to people who want to farm for the benefit of South Africa.

Anc opposed PAC on the land question in the 50s. In the 60s and 70s, they opposed the Black Consciousness on the land question. They continue to claim they are socialist through tripartite alliance with Sacp and Cosatu but since 1994 there is no evidence of a socialist programmer except the empty rhetoric from sacp and costumes! Is sacp and cosatu socialist organizations or just actors and actresses in this political theater of socialist hypocrisy? All we see is one scandal after the other! The national question, and nationalisation of private economic productive assets, preceded wealth distribution through state structures. Anc is far from claiming to be socialistic hence a sellout position on the land question! 😢

I agree because exiles when they were returned home should have been allocated instead of been forced to live without relatives, hence today we have veterans with no houses.. These people were away from home fighting for freedom and living as refugees in other countries. Many of them came back with more than one child. How were they to live well with family members when they had so many dependence. Some were coming with foreign wives. Why the government did not preserve settlement land for them? The land is still required even today. United Nations should have been consulted on this matter our people are still displaced today. It looks like ANC leaders are ignorant of the plight they have caused to former exiled families. Reserve land for former exiled because they were displaced. It is only fair to treat this as a matter of urgency as their children and grand children are suffering as a result of this omission.

Mk really lacks medium to long term vision. Their internal structure were not prepared for 2024. They did not succeed as a founder party to save SA's relationship with Brics. There were too many personal issues involved. But Russia probably saw this coming quite some time ago - their focus + unwavering support to countries in the Sahel region should have told SA politicians, they may be the next to be shifted onto the back burner.
I actually think the slow pace of land reform is a blessing in disguise. We had no knowledge and experience at the time that we would have eventually sold all the land back to the oppressors in favour of hard cash. And in that way would have legitimised their barbaric annexation of our God given resource. Kanti today we have all the experience and qualification needed. We know better and will do better.
