This is an excellent review of the AMG GLC 63. You've summed it up with three words : best combination of power + torque + handling in a mid-size SUV. As you so rightly say Mike, you have to drive one to understand. The Porsche dealership where I live (Switzerland) recognize that this car is the only real competitor to the V6 bi-turbo Macan - I had a V8 Cayenne Turbo S second generation equipped with a tighter chassis for improved handling before I bought a 63S - and I can say that the feeling at the wheel of the AMG puts you in an other dimension, on a different planet. The AMG feels like you are driving a sports car whereas the Cayenne or even the Macan ride like..... SUVs. I indeed agree with your comments regarding the Coupe. Ugly design reminding me of the X6 BMW which is even more ugly. Likewise if I lived in the US I would choose the 63 regular SUV over the 63S Coupe with no hesitation, the 34 bhp difference being insignificant. .

I have one and I’m so happy with it! Got it in Selenite gray magno with the big diffusor and ofc the carbon package. I live in europe so I got the standard SUV but in the S version. Such a great car!
Stephen Isaac that f pace has the worst interior I’ve ever seen, poor design, not ergonomic, cheap and boring. Also doesn’t look as good nor is it as fast

This is by far not the best compact SUV by far this is far from that. With Mercedes reputation in reliability I wouldn't lay a finger on this car. If I were to get a compact SUV I would get a Toyota 4runner. You can option it to a luxury spec and I don't know about you put it got plenty of power for a compact daily SUV. And did I mention? It's a Toyota it's gonna run for a long time and if you wanna sell it and get something else one day they hold their value by a large amount compared to what this Mercedes is going to look like in 2 years or so.
Mercedes is one of the stingiest brands on the market , why’s are you including halogen headlights on a 60k premium SUV, when you can get LED headlights standard on a 20k Corolla? LED should be a standard safety feature in 2019. Get real Mercedes

I’ve been thinking about getting a GLC for some time now. I own an Acura RDX awd 2015 which i love, but seen how well this GLC handles, I’m sold on Mercedes. I’m going to wait until January 2020 to get the 4matic with the MBUX. I’m so used to awd can’t see me getting anything else but the 4matic. Great review!
Bought one, got it delivered on feb 27th, on march 28 got stucked in the middle of a over flooded street and got hydrolocked, insurance has decided to import a new engine from Germany, going to take over a month or so... i'm crushed. In general, the best SUV i've ever got to drive!
Love the car. The GLC 63s should also be an available option. How can you only offer it on the coupe? Not that it matters too much from 0 to 60. They really need to update console and funny looking ipad on the dash. It's definitely outdated. At least make it minimum bezel. That little mouse/pad where you can scribble to the console needs to go.
Hey it’s a Mercedes AMG. The best or nothing is really true. You don’t get all that tech and luxury and driver assist in a Ferrari do you? No, you just pay double the cost of a glc63 for a 12 cylinder Ferrari with fewer features. I don’t know if any Ferrari that has active blind spot monitoring. And some people would still rather pay the cost of a house on a Ferrari with less features and not even 4matic? (P.S. I’m not purposely bashing Ferrari just using them as an example of how crazy expensive super cars are who’s manufacturers need to play catch up with tech)
the new 2020 dash and cluster and interior is so much better than that that year and that infotainment was horrible.. i actually kinda like the coupe version cause its diffrent wish we got the s of this version but yea ive driven the glc 63 amg and it drives like a c63 amg with awd always said the c63 needed awd and the glc looks so dam good especially when u lower it
Ras Rastaman I have the 2017 GLC43 AMG suv now with 68k miles zero problem. Coming from Infiniti m56. This is my first Mercedes and it’s the most reliable car I have ever owned.
It's nice, but it's not one of the best looking suvs, and it's not one of my favorites. It's not a Range Rover, a Rolls Royce Cullinan, a Navigator or an Escalade. To reiterate, what's up with the ads interrupting the video? Does this mean that you've hit the big time now? So, we have to deal with the constant ad interruptions so you can make more money? There has to be a way to showcase these damn ads without interrupting the videos! I can't stand it!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's like watching commercials. Commercials are so annoying!!!!!!!!! There are commercials on tv, during programs you watch online, ads on the mobile games you play and now on your channel too!! Great! Watching your videos just became annoying!!

The USA is the land of SUVs....NOT HATCHBACKS! I couldn't agree more, the "coupe" version of the GLC AMG 63 is poorly executed design wise. It looks frumpy and unbalanced. Frankly, if I'm going to spend roughly 83K of my hard earned money for a vehicle like this, I'm NOT going to make that type of compromise.

When you were driving it in sport+ mode did the car ever start revving on its own when you were at a red light while holding the brake? When I test drove one that happened to me. Was holding brake on a red light and the car decided to start revving. What’s the reason??

I have a GLC43AMG coupe now and I'm thinking of what to get next...definitely a 63 but not sure of the regular SUV or coupe version. Have a couple of months to decide

You are Mistaken Mike. The high beams are LED you can tell by the yellow reflections in the lens. The difference is one is a projector the other is a reflector.
I'd get rid of the f150 since u have a raptor, keep the car and get one of these bad boys. Then you would have a car SUV and a pickup.O and those triceps were poppin in the beginning of the video 💪
I think people should keep some opinions to themselves or a least say, "In my opinion". I think the version you like is the ugly one and the coupe is the sporty cool looking one. Many people in the UK love the coupe. The one you like looks more family oriented and the coupe looks more fun
I guess its alright as a nice family car that can be sporty and fun when you want it to be. Personally I would prefer an E63 estate or a C63 like Mikes but I get why this car exists.
