@@DoctaM3 There's something to be said about keeping a vehicle like this for over 13 years.... especially if you're a car lover. I go through cars - A LOT. I'm hopeful this will end up being one of my favorites. Have you ever had your rod bearings done, or any issues with your vanos system?

Its all. relative. If you. maintain the car, you don't generally. have engine. problems. Many. of. the. stories you hear. or see are from people who failed to maintain a big, high revving V10 engine, who ring it. out without caring then. when things go south, they complain :P. I shift. with both, but in this video, I used the shifter mostly--no good. reason 😎

I have had many German cars and what you describe has not been my experience.

Thanks man. My first M6 was the coupe and I sold a few months later for the Cabrio. I know a bit heavier but I love a drop top. The 6-series is pretty awesome.

I got a bunch of comments about only have 19K miles in all that time. What some people don't realize is that I don't believe in garage queens and drive my cars. The are enough that well, sometimes the miles don't add up on all of them.

@@DoctaM3 I have a E64 630i myself. A model not available in North America with the N52 inline 6 engine. I would of course prefer the M6 but that is currently not possible. I also used to modify BMWs for a couple of decades in my past. The S85 is a fantastic engine I would love to have in a Z4M E85. It also weighs less than the original S54 and is shorter. As all high-revving engines it needs to be driven with care untli oil temperature is around 85C (185F). Also only use 10W60 quality oil in it. The connecting rod bearings are a weak point but damage is often caused by improper use. A convertible is all about emotions, the sensation of driving. Engine sound is a significant part of it and the individual throttle body arrangement in M engines make for a very unique induction noise. The old V10 F1 engines were absolute screamers, sounded even better than the older V12. There is a hill climb E82 with a Judd F1 V10 engine and plenty of videos of it. Have a listen to that :)
