HI, my name is Danny from Mississippi. I really enjoy your videos. It has inspired me to start a part-time resell business, and I'm glad to see Courtney is back, I am curious how she is doing with her store. Keep up the great work.
Dawn dish soap directly on the stain with some light scrubbing has helped me with deep stains on the sleeves of vintage starter jackets. That's the main place for heavy stains and it leaves them looking brand new most of the time 😅
I found Moonlighting new and sealed in my local charity shop for £9 and sold it for £200 recently (I’m in the UK). I’m also a dvd collector so I was very tempted to keep this one as it’s so rare. But happy with the amazing profit!
Wow , Moonlighting still sealed is an awesome pickup , id have a lot of trouble getting rid of that one , I'm also a Collector of the Cool stuff and hard to find Physical media
My Wife and I have just started listing my gamer shirts, jerseys and other clothing items and they're getting alot of views very quickly which is amazing! I also figured we'd start a RU-vid channel to share our journey! Can't wait to see more of your content mate! Cheers!
Hi Matt, to get stains out of jeans. I use dishwashing detergent and bicarbonate soda. Mix into a paste, put on jeans for 20 minutes. Then wash off. Just a question, do you play every DVD you buy to see if they work. Too scared to sell DVDs on ebay. Just in case there is something wrong with them. Love your videos
Hey Matt, with Region 2 releases always check the DVD on the player, for many BBC shows at least they are dual-encoded but not printed as such on the back. This was the case with Rumpole and the Bailey Complete Series, many Doctor Who's, etc.
It's hard for me to ensure I don't so I've let myself be okay with shadows. As long as the image is bright and shows off the item I'm fine with shadowing. Thanks for becoming a channel member, that's badass!
@@TheAussieFlipper I’ve personally had to learn to be okay with it to. It can be pretty frustrating. No problem about channel member, I look forward to seeing extra videos. You’ve helped me become more educated with my store
Hey Matt that icebreaker brand isn’t really a good sell through if you search it up qw icebreaker with no space in the middle there’s a bunch and listings and not a lot sold compared to listed found a sweater yesterday and had a look up and decided to leave it at the op shop.
Great video Matt! My partner has so so many dvd box sets collecting dust but doesn’t want to sell them, I stare longingly at them sometimes when my sales are slow 😅
I've had the Complete Series of Moonlighting + the pilot movie length episode, which is in a separate case for years. I bought them when they were released on DVD. Bruce Willis has always been my favourite actor.
@TheAussieFlipper both are awesome though ;) great job on moonlighting, I sold part 5 itself for 250 to the US, it might be worth splitting them up and put internation shipping on them
oh all those book sets at the end I have and cant give them away anymore. Kmart are selling Hunger Games brand new with the 4th novel for about $40 which killed the r e s e l l market... Divergent set and Twilight have hit rock bottom too...and Charlaine Harris...you might want to check the STR on those...
To clean shoes n clothes use sard power spray ..just spray n rub n let it soak in the sard for a bit n wash it in the machine with sard powder and napisan colour mix it half half powders that's what I use it's perfect if it don't come out rub the powder with the spray with a brush n soak n wash
Getting to a point now where I am commentating out loud while I watch! :D LOTR trilogy "nah don't buy that's shit" - Atari "Just sold one for 60 bucks Matty, leave that one" - Kinda cool to realise my knowledge is getting better
I've had incredible success with Icebreaker, both in terms of how they're priced in the oppies, and how quickly they sell. The other brand that seems to be doing well for me is Stussy, but only if it's got some age.
Just food for thought has anybody else noticed Kate and Courtney have never been in the video/Place at the same time...Just saying we're onto you Matt 😂😂😂
“I’m not a big fan of Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter”. Careful you might lose half your subscribers! 😅 To each their own, thanks for the video Matt and Courtney!
Stains are nothing when finding clothing from the Salvos Stores. It may be major, which means the pair of pants are worthless. Most Salvos Stores clothing are way overpriced and its online store is even worse where they sell for more than what it's worth on eBay. I would never source for clothing from the Salvos and people don't collect clothing for parts. The best items from the Salvos either go to employees, the online Salvos stores or the eBay hub
@@wignallytBeen to a big salvos in Sydney whose staff said they price up to compete with resellers and their biggest expense is paying staff wages 🤷🏽♀️
@@wignallyt The Salvos are no charity. Not much of their profit goes towards people in need. They pay their CEO big bucks but most of their stuff in their shops are above market value due to their quality
G'day Matt, I do wonder why you don't hesitate to pickup a $5 item to sell for $30 for a $10-$15 profit after shipping and ebay fees, but you hesitate and often don't pickup a $30 item to sell for $60 for the same profit?
i think it's just cash flow mate - $30 outlay for a $60 return is minimal profit after fees postage and cost of goods. It would need a fast sell through rate for me to do that. A $5 outlay isn't a concern for cash flow so I do it without hesitation. hope that makes sense.
@@moneymick3708 yep. Not many people wear big name brands here so they're super hard to find in the thrift and there are less quality goods donated because people have less disposable income. Kmart brands in abundance though.
