I'm not collecting Sega CD now, but I definitely plan on getting some titles eventually when I can. Snatcher is ridiculously expensive, but the game is really amazing. I have a really good game collection with really insane games like Undake 30 and others. Great video as usual! Keep on rocking!

Snatcher was always worth "something". Even back in the early days of eBay, a few years after the Sega CD was officially dead, it was going for $50+ complete. Lunar Eternal Blue was also going for $20-30 back then. Laughably cheap now, but frustrating for the not-quite-retro collector at the time. I got both complete for $5 each at a store closeout, they were more than the rest of the Sega CD games which were $1 because the owner knew they were "collectible".

Great video! I have a few Sega CD games, not nearly as many as you. I feel like the games I have are pretty rare, but i'm no expert. I have Wirehead, Double Switch, Ground Zero Texas, Eternal Champions, Rise of the Dragon, Corpse Killer. Earthworm Jim Special Edition, Night Trap and Snatcher in near mint condition with booklets and cases.

I would love it if games from Working Designs would be made available to the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and Steam. But I don't think that will ever happen. :(

Still have my sealed Black Label Luigi's Mansion for GameCube. Bought it in 2004 and just never got around to playing it. Threw it in a box when I moved, forgot about it, bought another copy used. Now it's one of the more expensive games in my collection, and probably the most expensive Nintendo game I own that isn't from the Pokemon series.

Here in the uk a gaming magazine included a playable demo of keio, but they had included the entire game on the disc, as you can imagine it is very sort after now.

This is why repros exist. There's some games that I'd love to play, but I'm not going to be paying $90+ for a game that I loved as a kid.

I agree with john, i dont go out looking for sealed stuff but if i see a sealed game for relatively cheap il buy it. I currently own 4 sealed games, a sealed dualshock 2 and a sealed buzz game with buzzers included.

I bought a Laseractive after they were discontinued, and eventually bought the Sega LD module around the time that Sega CD games were being clearanced out. So I picked up Keio Flying Squadron at a Best Buy for $7.50, and watched with shock as over the years it shot up in value. I bought Shining Force CD in a Goodwill for $2.50. It's amazing that this oddball console that nobody cared about at the time (which gave me the chance to buy most of the games featured here for next to nothing back in the day) and only now do people really care. I guess my love of underdog consoles means I get in before everybody else discovers how good the games for that system are.

Hoo boy, back in the 90s I had most of these at one time or another (the only ones I didn't have at all were Radical Rex, Keio and Flink). It just goes to show that, far from being the repository of bad or mediocre FMV games, the Sega CD had a lot of good games, especially shooters and JRPGs. While I don't have these games anymore I still have a Sega CD 1 that I recently replaced the belt on; plays great!

My older brother got a used copy of Snatcher back in the late 90s. I don't know why he bought it since I don't think he knew anything about it. He might have bought it for me, but I didn't even know anything about it. I still have it to this day.

Not only was this a fun video but it also served as a painful reminder of that time I gave away my cib copy of Popful mail. Excuse me, I have to go cry now.

I have a factory sealed of Earthworm Jim Special Edition which I see is selling for around $700. Pretty crazy!

Is this a new music intro or have I just not heard it before? Do a bit of music production if you have the midi files could put something together for you. When buying games I try stick to below the retail price but I think the most I would pay is around £100. Really enjoy the videos with John, his genesis knowledge and collection is brilliant.

I actually have 2 complete copies of Earthworm Jim: Special Edition. The first one I payed some money for the 2nd I came across on accident and got for around$15.

Maybe its just me but I don't like the blur effect in the editing of this video. It is disorienting and distracting. Even in the borders of the gameplay footage it is bothersome. Otherwise I'm a huge fan of the channel. Great personalities and format.
