Ade-good video, great runs and sublime tone from the Larini and Tubi combo. This video being a departure from the technical instructional how to do videos you have amassed thus far, is a testament of reaping the rewards of your works. As the videos you make are key to likely problems that QP owners will most likely face. However to own such a bespoke and exclusive saloon as such is so flavorful, as I feel somewhat similar about Aston's, that owning a Maserati is something to cherish, of that most hallowed name. Cheers mate.
It shows! That sound is simply epic, the QP is one of the coolest cars ever, great to see one driven, used and enjoyed properly and with that sound and that great DuoSelect system, Maserati wouldn't have put that in there if it wasn't any good.
Fair enough, it is fun and nothing sounds like it. Not the quickest car, but not the slowest either, and it is limo. Taking mine to the Eastern Creek Dragway in Sydney, they have street car races on Thursday nights.
An alarm on the dash. It has passed its MOT. I seam to get one thing sorted to make time for the next issue. Not sure where to start looking to be honest.
@@marcbell9777 join the club. It’s a fantastic car but I too have found it challenging at times. Never have I spent so much money and effort on a car. My things seem to come up just before MOT and it’s a mad dash to sort. Got to keep going though.
Only around 90-95. Being my first time I used the 1/4 mile cone as the braking point, so as to be careful not to continue on in the field. Not the quickest cars, but great fun and I love it. Thanks
Hi from Western Australia, wow , what a sound. Is your car with the ZF gearbox or cambiacorsa f1? Is it possible to tune these? I have been looking at the 4200 coup as well. Thanks.
Hi, it is the Duoselect F1. It’s great fun to drive. I like the Larini and Tubi combination. I’m soon going to be posting a video of my back box delete. Good luck in your search for one. Western Australia bring back memories of when I went to Fremantle and Perth back in the 90’s. Thanks for your message. Ade
@@AdrianLeggettUK thanks so much for the reply mate. I hear that the Duoselect is just a mater of learning the right way to drive it and really is more dramatic and rewarding than the ZF. Do you have the larini sports cats and Primary and down pipes from formula dynamics ? H or X pipe? I hear the H has a deeper tone?. I see that racing dynamics has a tune available as well and FBW enhanced pedal box. Have you tuned your car? I come from the BMW M line of all types inc Supercharged E92 M3 but never had a e60 V10 M5 but being Italian blooded I feel like I need to go with something Italian this time. The Maserati is such a lot of beautiful car for the money and quite fast when modified properly, would you agree. Alternatively a friend of mine has a very nice 4200 coupe that he’s trying to sell me but I think the 4 door is just beautiful.Yes Perth is a great city to live , absolutely love it. Hopefully you can return one day.
@@dspada67 Which is better, the Duoselect v ZF comes up a lot, including clutch life. I personally chose Duoselect, having driven both. There is a way to drive them and I drive mine in manual sports model all of the time. I’ve now got 80K miles on the original clutch. Yes FBW do the module for the Duoselect and I’ve read great things about it but don’t have it yet. I have standard down pipes and resonator. Then Larini cats and Tubi back box. The OEM cats were much deeper tone than the Larini. Larini are much higher pitch and make it back fire a lot. I had a cat fail so replaced with Larini as I could get a pair of Larini’s for cost of one OEM. I’m on standard tune. There are enhanced tunes available and I know someone who has done it with great report. BMW M series very nice. I love V10’s and I said my next car will be one. Thanks for your message. Cheers Ade
