I was out doing the Yamaha demos on Saturday August 4th. I drove the car for that, then rode the Super Tenere two weeks later to ride the hills. I love it out there.
You are going to sell me on buying a Super Tenere or a Star Venture as my next motorcycle. I sat on a Venture at a dealer and it's REALLY comfortable. I'm a Below the knee left amputee and as long as the bike has a heel and toe shift I can ride it with no aids. I just slam the shifters with my foot. It's that or have a tiptronics shifter installed. I currently have a VTX1800r but its nearly 19 years old and everything is reaching that age.
I have to confess, I'm not a huge fan of the nose on that bike. I ride a 2007 Yamaha Royal Star tour deluxe and I'm enjoying your videos. I'm thinking though I'm not a huge fan of some of the styling, but it isn't that bad that I couldn't live with it if it is a great bike for touring. I'm thinking of taking one of these for a test ride. I'd like more storage and from what I've heard on reviews this is an all day comfortable bike you ride. I wish there was a place for highway pegs on it. Thinking I might buy one if it rides good.
Good observation. The foglight was fine, but I was whacked by a large road gator on that trip, it flung up from the vehicle in front of me and hit my lower cowling. Floorboards saved my leg from some possible nasty cuts from the truck tire. The little plastic piece was replaced in Sturgis.
I've watched all your videos involving the Yamaha Transcontinental and only have one complaint. I watched the videos to learn about the bike. You should have talked about it much more than you did. ...just sayen.
Hey Paul, when watching the video I noticed some damage to the right fog light housing. It can be seen at 9:56 in the video. You didn’t mention anything about hitting a road hazard and you obviously didn’t go down or there’s have been more damage. What happened Sir? I hope you weren’t injured in any way? Thank you Sir for responding.
I was at MOMS in Foxborough and I fell in love with the Venture, but only thing is I’m 6”3 and I couldn’t really stretch my legs and nothing to attach highway pegs, How comfortable is it
Hey Paul aka #BadAss. love your videos & why you ride. what can someone like me who is disabled and not a lot of income do to help your cause. ? stickers for sale or ?? Thanks Stay safe and keep posting
The best thing you can do is share my story. The more subscribers, likes and shares the better I look to sponsors. I need sponsors to help pay my expenses.
How does Chasing the Cure work? I'm seriously considering (for a couple years now) getting into biking once I graduate college in December, and I think doing things like this is a great service that I might want to get involved in.
The best way to learn about my million mile journey is to visit my website www.longhaulpaul.com I am riding a million miles to raise awareness and funds for Multiple Sclerosis. I started 6 years ago and I have riden 330,000 miles, while raising $130k for charity.
I've been looking at the Star Eluder will test ride one soon. Been hearing a lot of complaints about the heat coming off the motor on the left side the back piston was it a problem for you also? And thank you for sharing this video you're definitely a rider.
