A 380mm shell of the Sturmtiger had 125 kg of explosive and was able to burst through 2,5 meters of reinforced concrete. Such an explosion would destroy even the heaviest WWII tanks on a direct hit and any Sherman/T-34 variant even landing a few meters off.

That tactical 10v10 mode looks fantastic. I really like the idea of having less troops to worry about and tough decisions about what to bring in.

I know this video is old but after seeing your 88 being used it remined me that I met a German WW2 veteran who was on a 88 crew. He was in Luftwaffe and a bomber crew during the Battle of Britain. After surviving that there was a opening for joining a flak unit. He said "After the battle of Britain I thought if sounded good to just be based on the ground". He said it wasnt long until his unit was sent east and had to shoot at Russian tanks. What a rude turn of events for him but how many veterans through history can relate to this sort of story.

I actually like it that the Sturmtiger doesn't auto-fire. It is better to mirco it to hit important targets than a lone squad of 3 men the enemy send forward to draw fire. Also, I know the feeling with the 88mm. RNG is not on my side most of the time in SD2. Once, I have 2 2-stars Panther A miss all 3 of their shots and than get one shot each by an 1 star IS-2.

This Tiger shows tickle my fancy. Also, in CoH2 Sturmtiger also have the same mechanic where you have to manually fire it like an arty.

@@VulcanHDGaming reload wasnt that slow, a little slower than in game but its probably a balancing descision, because the damage is a fraction of the real thing so it kinda balances out

the find the air-plan is usually useless in 5v5 to 10v10, because there are often a lot of AA guns (assume each player gets 2 AA guns - that more than enough)

The Sturmtiger is the crux of this division. It's your heavy tank killer, amazing fire support and damage sponge.

@@tedarcher9120 Eh, if you mean the Walkure in particular they have far too few ammo for what they are, I'd say 78th Sturm still is despite the ridiculous STG nerfs

@@tedarcher9120 I heard from Military History Visualized that the sturmtiger actually had a reload rate of 4 shots per hour.

@@thelolmasterable that is a misconception, the crane wasnt used to reload the gun but to reload the ammo reserves from outside the tank, they could load riounds into the gun wiithout any specialised equipment

@@roughstormrider206 4 minutes to reload, not 4 shots per hour. Even railway guns can manage more than 4 shots per hour.

This game mode resembles SD44, less units make it more skill based and micro matters a lot more

This Sturmtiger is so super OP, incredible. I just started playing and really struggle to asses engagement, but with the sturmtiger you dont have to asses anything anymore. Just get enough AA and a couple squads of canonfodder to cover and ez mode. Sad!
