I agree about Matt thriving in more positive situations. I personally think it may have to do with his anxiety that he’s talked about, because I’m the same way. I get extremely stressed out when it comes to any kind of confrontation or argument. And of course he’s definitely the most sensitive of the group, so he may need that bond more often then the others.

I gotta say, whenever I watch a sturniolo triplet video now, I always think “what would Max think about this 🤔”

What I see in this video is Matt being in a more vulnerable position than usual (being blindfolded) and absolutely not in control of the chaos between his brothers. He’s quietly trying to follow their instructions while they yell at and hit each other, which turns into Nick letting it out on Matt. Matt’s body language shows a lot of frustration and resignation. But then as soon as it becomes overwhelming to the point where he can’t even continue, Chris becomes super in tune with Matt’s emotions without even being able to see his face and signals to Nick that something is wrong, and Chris and Nick do a complete 180 to come together in order to make Matt feel better. Even encouraging him like you would a child (somewhat jokingly I think, but it’s cute). At one point you see Nick encouraging Chris to overreact positively to Matt’s good work. Matt completely calms down and is happy at the end. I think people love this video so much and wanted you to react to it because it’s a glimpse into their deep affection for Matt behind the shit-talking. Thank you for making this video even though you were reluctant! We definitely appreciate it! I enjoyed seeing you point out things that I didn’t pick up on.

I think this is a good example of the dynamic when Chris is in a bad mood. Stresses the other two out, especially Matt. Nick and Matt seem to tiptoe around him sometimes. They’ve said he’s the only one that really initiates hitting.

I enjoy watching Max react even more than I like reacting myself 😂 it’s entertaining!

when the boys are fighting i think matt gets a little claustrophobic and gets anxious. in the cuff boys podcast matt talks about his anxiety and said that he has different breaths to show when he’s anxious and when he’s not. you can see that chris immediately noticed that matt was having anxiety due to his breath that he took. he signaled to nick that they needed to take it down a notch. i think this shows how much nick and chris are equipped to matt’s anxiety and how they turn their attention to him to show that it’s okay and that their here for him. i think that max you hit it right on the nail i think matt likes a more calm and relaxed environment instead of a chaotic one. (P.S. i know this is a really late response lol)

There’s this one where Matt is blindfolded and Chris and Nick are calm and nice, then when Nick is blindfolded it’s just Chris and Matt yelling

I feel like you got Matt bang on with what you said about him, however I feel like you still have so much to see from Chris. There’s a lot of videos where Chris has been very open about his feelings and emotions etc and aparently outside of video form Chris usually keeps the peace between Nick and matt. There’s one video where Chris talks about toxic masculinity and how he’s not afraid to be vulnerable and open and it really showed another side of Chris to me

i think some good videos for u to watch would be the ones with their parents so u can see that dynamic!! they have a “mom of triplets answers questions about being a mom of triplets” and a “dad of triplets answers questions about being a dad of triplets” and there are a few other videos with them as well.

I really love your reactions I hope you keep reacting to them I would like to recommend Matt losses it Chris talking for 19 minutes Nick is angry..again I really love those videos we get to see another side of each triplets and if you’re feeling sentimental I LOVE q+a small talk it always makes me smile

I have my theory that people who get most on each other nerves are mostly likely to be similar in lots of ways which here are nick and Matt i think they are 2 who argue most get angry with each other easily unlike both of them with Chris i think Matt and Nick have their insecurities side preset to them more than Chris Matt kinda expresses it with being aggressive or by being silent and Nick honestly is kinda hides it behind being sarcastic because i don't believe his funny side is always out of jokes or entertaining so idk i feel sometimes when you have ur own things to deal with in ur head it leaves less room for understanding sometimes and thats why nick and Matt crash into each other more and I've noticed how both truly appreciate and need words of affection and affirmation Chris feels more to be a creative person more out going more in the moment that's why i think it's easier for the other 2 to have a deeper connection with him

I know I'm late to this but I've been catching up with your reactions after weeks of binging on Sturniolo vids. I feel like I'm seeing you go through the exact same process as me - and many others, no doubt - in that one's initial take on them focuses more on their similarities but as time goes on we see more and more just how different their personalities are. As time goes on the first thing that I think happens is we are able to recognize them physically, because there really are a lot of distinguishing characteristics (for example, Matt always has the longest hair). Then we are able to discern their emotional differences. I think others have pointed out Chris' ADHD personality allowing him to thrive in chaos, and court it. Meanwhile, Matt's anxiety and sensitivity leads to what you mentioned - that he thrives in the affection and bond between them. Matt and Chris, in particular, have a special connection, as you've noticed. I have so many theories about all this, as I know you do. I believe a lot of it stems from the fact that, unlike most kids, they didn't have to rely on outside sources - unrelated friends or even much older or younger siblings - for guidance and validation. Because they always had each other, it was as if they got to grow up in a bubble of love and support where social cues came from the group and not classmates or neighbors. Most kids develop as a result of peer pressure and the desire to fit in, which alters their behavior and maybe even changes their personalities. These guys didn't have to develop that way. It's a big reason why they're so transparent and authentic, wear their hearts on their sleeves, and aren't afraid to show emotion and affection. It's really fascinating and compelling viewing.

wow that's interesting nick was just talking about their coming podcast in their yesterdays vid and he said he's excited because he feels that he can show he's more serious different side that is not the entertainment side and immediately thought of what u said here when u were talking about their character when the cameras off i don't think their personality now in their entertainment videos are in any way fake but they do shine some sides of them other than some to keep the videos light and fun so I'm excited also for their podcast to come to get to know them on deeper level

it's interesting actually because i would agree that they embrace their fighting and arguing because they know it's entertaining and also its just effortless for them because it really seems like that's how they are off camera also but i still felt like that video was just pure fighting like they weren't having audience or the camera in mind because how really frustrated they were with each other actions like Matt and Nick were genuinely bothered with Chris's popcorn and Chris was bothered with how nick kept making a big deal out of it and Matt was bothered with how much Chris and Nick kept fighting and not focusing on the task for the video

I'm not sure it seems like Chris is the most one of them that uses violence but i feel like whether it's nick or Matt they don't respond in a way that is harsh with him unlike if it's between nick and Matt and i don't know if that is because they feel like they can't keep it up with him or because they both have a really good connection with him so they don't take him very seriously to be really angry
