Thank u for this LEGIT breakdown. Sad NO ONE wants to give OUR ppl credit. We created and made Streetwear by experimenting and making noise….but as always THEY steal and claim it as their own.

the mainstream coopted streetwear. Lately, I keep seeing videos about how rich people don't show logos or don't buy typical luxury brands. What someone like Dapper Dan did is taking the opposite approach and making everything bigger and bolder and reappropriating the logos like sampling. That's dope. Nowadays, you can just buy authenticity.

@@sebp400 Dapper Dan figured out how to think outside of the box….lol literally and made a trend. Too many ppl stealing and not giving credit scared to take risk.

You're right, it's more about culture. Street wear clothing is just: workwear + sportswear. Music videos just really catapulted this combo to new heights. It has come a long way. Great video
