What exactly did they have in mind? He proved Howard right. The talent pool that Jay had to pick from and he chose Stuttering John? John was like maybe they like me Howard. he made a lot from doing comedy tours with guys like florentine, artie and nick Di Paolo, he made 100k off the reality show and another from boxing cabbie, he had that recording deal and would book any appearance he could. I dont think him becoming a millionaire was far fetched even with the stocks aside.

also had a reputation for mooching free lunches and other stuff, one of those guys who would never part with a dollar but would always be out eating and drinking with the guys somehow

@@hispud3522 The 100k from the reality show was substantial but I cant imagine him being the MC for an Artie led tour gave him that much extra per year. This was wayyyy before Artie got to be the bigtime standup that he was during the Sirius years. Plus that was only a year and a half of shows at most. The had an apartment in NYC and a house on Long Island. Even in the 90's a person making 6 figures would have a hard time affording that. Stocks were atleast half of his income I would bet. And if he had any knowledge of the stock market, he wouldn't be in the shape he's in today.

That’s your opinion, and you & others may share it. There are many others, myself included, that disagree. What we can agree on, is that there are pretty much no instances of Robin doing what John is being accused of, since she’s abiding by the “don’t sht where you eat” rule. The same can be said about Gary & Fred, and is probably one of the reasons he has great work relationships with all three of them. They’ve been with him since the beginning @ KROC, up to present day. Unfortunately, John would probably still be unable to explain why this is inappropriate behavior.
