What is ROBLOX? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 8 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore ROBLOX - interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything - be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yettobedreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, ROBLOX members can earn specialty badges as well as ROBLOX dollars (“ROBUX”). In turn, they can shop the online catalog to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.

This aint even in the test place its in main game now i was just trying the new movement and was experiencing this its so awful. The way I found to change it is to swap your stance and slide key binds like on pc the default is "C" for stance and "Left Control" for slide making "Left Control" Stance and "C" slide. Basicly putting it back to how it was prior to this update.

Every time they take 1 step forwards, they always take 3 steps backwards. They really are trying everything to appeal to as many people as possible but all it's gonna do is make the most dedicated people quit the game. At least they removed the stamina bar real fast in the test place, they're probably just seeing what they can get away with

I mean, the stamina bar is in the main game but if you don't want to use it, that's completely fine. You're not forced to use it if you don't want to and you are rewarded for learning how to use it.

Phantom forces movement and the combat "meta" was what made the game unique. It's a nice mix between fast movement like siege, but also allowing for more slower movement to fit your style and what you're best at. I hate how they're completely over hauling the movement system and I hope they realize it's a mistake and change it back soon.

As a tf2 player who loves rocket jumping and doing reflect jumps. LEAVE THIS GAMES MOVEMENT ALONE! I like playing this game as well and I love its movement mechanics and I think it goes well with the game.

I tried the test place and uh. I don't like it. I prefer the movement to be bouncy, and I don't like that sliding is slow. Jump boosts barely gave forward and upward momentum (like the end part of emp sliding). The reduced gravity is kinda weird. Even the reliable slide jump is just not great.

Thanks for dropping a video on this. Lito literally said in Discord that he understands that he's possibly sacrificing part of the playerbase to make the game fit his vision, but the majority of the playerbase does not agree with this in the slightest. Absolutely ridiculous changes, I'm quitting if movement is nerfed and I'm certainly not only one, especially when you look at your last poll and how the majority of players dislike movement nerfs (half of whom said they'd quit if the stamina bar was added in its old state).

Movement is the most important aspect in FPS games. See Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike, Titanfall, Apex Legends, Quake. Utilizing their unique movement techs to create advantages such as getting to normally inaccessable places or more stylish ways of dodging and getting around the map just makes the game feel that much more special.

@@firestormjupiter Which is why it’s balanced. You choose not to use stamina, you get worse movement cooldowns. You choose to enable stamina, you get faster cooldowns but you can run out of stamina and lose the ability to slide/superjump etc

IT'S BAD! but unfortunately, they don't consider player feedback as valuable anymore, so unless our outrage is on massive proportions they will not care and even then, it could cause the opposite effect and we end up worse, due to how we initially reacted to stamina changes (with HATRED AND RAGE). So now the plan is to submit us to two versions of movement, this slow one and the fast one, **allegedly** this slow version will be pushed a month after the fast version was added to main game to see how we react The thing is, this doesn't necessarily relate to what they did to proning in main game, that was because after the player count peak at around 6.5k it went down! oh no! so they blamed it on ONLY THAT, YEAH, BECAUSE APPARENTLY THE 5% OF PLAYERS USING THE TECH WERE THE CAUSE FOR THE PLAYER RETENTION TO GO DOWN 😃😃😃😃 NOT ANYTHING ELSE... LIKE MAYBE TIMEZONES!? OR PEOPLE GETTING SICK OF THE 1 SECOND REVENGE SPAWNS! OR THE NEW WEAPON SWAY THAT MAKES MOST AUTOS A HEADACHE TO USE! NO IT WAS THIS AND ONLY THIS THING APPARENTLY. so yeah, maybe I'm not totally against the idea of the players testing the two versions of movement, BUT the change they did to proning IN A PANIC! WITH BARELY ANY BASIS, really makes me mad!

Grenades never should have had a disarm function, it's a powerful tool that carries a risk and a cost, you risk grenading yourself, and you can't get grenades back after you use them, that's the cost, but the reward is that it's crazy good at killing, so you shouldn't be able to always have a grenade ready and then just disarm it when it's about to explode, that makes it impossible to kill you without dying yourself, grenades should require commitment

personally ive found that the movement techniques after the update allow for more fluid and quicker movement than before but the standard movement is generally slower (sliding/proning)

couldn't they just... make specific movement inputs have unique outcomes? like just sliding and then running is just the basic faster than sprinting. shift then jump after slide(dunno what it is called) higher and farther jump. jump sliding having faster slides emp sliding (no change needed tbh, just buff the first two) and that kinda it?

movement is what makes games unique. I’ve said this so many times in my life, call of duty had fun movement and slide canceling, then mw2 2022 came out and everyone hated the game because they got rid of the movement which is the one thing that made the game truly unique

I really enjoy the bunny hop mechanic, although I feel like the stamina runs out too fast, the problem that I faced these updates is how fast you die, I understand being insta killed by a sniper but 1 shot to the torso with a SMG is too much. Nerf some guns, keep the new movement as an option, increase stamina bar.

I played for a whole 2 days in the main game while using minimal slides and dolphin dives (mainly running + jumping), it really wasn't that bad and I still got 40-50 kills with 1.8-2kd each game, I personally will still play the game regardless of the movement update

I get adding stanima to stop the superjump spam But adding this is kind of dumb This would impact all skill levels in a very negative way If they REALLY want to make movement less advanced for noobs, make it so you cant stand mid superjump and you can only stand after hitting the ground. I remember when Stylis actually buff smg and pdw now the server just 2 or 3/4 of them, it kinda annoying if u get killed by a p90, mp7 no setup 125 studs cross half a map with 1100 rpm when an assault rifle need atleast a hollow point to actually kill them fast before they can kill u. I know our old player/high rank know we can smash those pdw and smg easily but just think about the newbies, they just new and casually died for 10 seconds later by get shot by a random pdw and quit right before they can enjoy the game

never trust a game dev, they'll up and ruin the whole shebang when ur not looking just to fit their 'creative vision' or whatever.

Soooo... they nerfed slide, but not jump spam and the dive-jump tech that allows you to move in the ceiling. Gotcha.

I would way rather longer ttk than movement nerfs anyday, as someone who isn't particularly amazing and hasn't really played properly for 2 years I don't think I've ever had a problem with getting outmoved more than I just haven't been able to react to being shot at all due to how many guns kill excessively fast now
