This was my first time seeing the SU 27 and what a thundering beast it it!

I was there and it was fantastic amazing display fantastic flying the pilot was sure to be the greatest pilot ever flying this beast

More than any other jet I've witnessed, the Su's have an amazing ability to skid/slide through turns, even without canards...amazing plane.

I know im American but the SU-27 has been one of my fav jets. one of the first jets to perform the Russian cobra. Lots of guys in my RC flight club give me crap about this me liking Russian aircraft> I like the SU-35 even more:)

Beautiful aircraft & video work by Elwyn R but the Ukrainian SU-27's don't have the multi-vector thrust engines that newer models (SU-30+'s) from Russia have (& supplied to other countries such as China, India, Algeria, Angola, Belarus, Indonesia, Malaysia, Uganda, Venezuela, Vietnam with other countries orders pending). Makes a huge difference in performance & maneuverability. The Malaysian AF usually demo's their SU-30's at the Singapore airshow and wildest military display's I've ever seen. Really surprised Western engine designers haven't come up with multi-vector thrust engines so long after the Russian and now Chinese have in use.

Every time I watch a Flanker fly it seems so effortless in comparison to other Western fighters...

Great footage, BUT that thing tends to lose altitude AND in real fights you either sustain it or get shot. It wasn't bulit for low speed. Maybe is better at high speed.

when you see su-27 you think its origin is Russia. wrong completely wrong. when I was little I held a swallow in my hands. later saw a newspaper called flygrevun from Sweden. then the F-14, F-15 and F-16 were brand new aircraft the year was 1978 in famberuw UK. at the same time thought of something very maneuverable and takes more 10 tons of weapons and has a cockpit so you can see 360° around true a strong radar and a combination of F-14 and F-16. this was long before su-27 and test and prototype you T-10. Su-27 and MiG-29 are invented by a Swede. it is I who write this who came up with su-27 and mig-29 and not CCCP or Russia and you and me but me, long before su T-10 was even thought of. then the Swedish state banned me as an animal of radical hippie who looked like crap in my eyes. if I lived in the US I would work for NASA or Lockheed, MD and save other aerospace companies from going under. happy new year 🇺🇲🇸🇪🤠😎💋🥂🍾🥇🎓🐯

today i dicided to check why russian su35 wasnt there, this is incredible but Russia have never been invited to RIAT. as far as i know RIAT exists since 2006. Theres always a long list of countries- belarus, ukraine, and other slav countries,, but no russia) politics?

With the agility of a 747, you can tell this generation figher is lightyears from today's standards. Appreciate this as the new vintage old-timer displays, but it's becoming all but a bit dull compared to the current aces.
